FC Barcelona <\/strong>advanced to the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey<\/strong> thanks to their 0-2 victory against CD Guadalajara<\/a>, in the official debut of Marcus Rashford<\/strong> and Roony Bardghji<\/strong> in the competition. Both started, with better luck for the English winger.<\/p>

After a first half that was as gray as a reference point in the area, the ’14’ was much more active as a left winger<\/strong> in the second half. In total, ‘Rashy’ took four shots on goal, three of them saved by goalkeeper Dani Vicente.<\/p>

The Madrid-born goalkeeper shone with two great saves in the first fifteen minutes of the second half, one of them with a miraculous leg to neutralize a one-on-one against the 27-year-old forward<\/p>

Finally, in the 90th minute, Marcus was finally able to leave Vicente trailing<\/strong>, taking advantage of a pass from Lamine Yamal<\/a> to dribble past the goalkeeper and score into an empty net at the end of a match where Bar\u00e7a, once again, was far superior but took longer than expected to reflect their dominance on the scoreboard.<\/p>

Seventh goal for Rashford and 16 direct goal involvements this season<\/h2>

Tuesday’s match in Guadalajara was Rashford’s seventh goal of 25\/26, his first since November 2nd. The Englishman debuted as a Bar\u00e7a scorer with a brace in the Champions League away from home against Newcastle (1-2)<\/a> and later scored twice again against Olympiacos in the thrashing at Montju\u00efc (6-1<\/a>)<\/p>

In the League, Marcus scored one goal against Sevilla<\/strong> (4-1) and another against Elche<\/strong> (2-1), bringing his total to 16 goal involvements in his first 23 games with Bar\u00e7a. The ’14’ has 7 goals and 9 assists, in addition to 16 starts<\/strong>. Impressive numbers that meet the expectations generated by his signing and make a case for a permanent transfer in 2026.<\/p>

Bar\u00e7a could secure Rashford’s permanence by **paying 40 million euros to Manchester United** next summer. A very reasonable figure, considering the offensive production, experience, and commitment of the winger since his arrival in Catalonia<\/p>
