Bar\u00e7a won the Spanish Super Cup title for the sixteenth time, once again after defeating Real Madrid in Arabia (3-2). Raphinha, with a brace, was the MVP of the final<\/h2> \r\n

FC Barcelona<\/strong> won the Spanish Super Cup<\/strong> title after a great match in Jeddah against Real Madrid<\/strong> (3-2). Two goals from Raphinha<\/strong> and one from Robert Lewandowski<\/strong> gave Hansi Flick<\/strong>‘s team their fourth title as coach of the Blaugrana, their third against ‘Los Blancos’ in finals.<\/p>

Unlike the previous two finals, which were comfortably decided in favor of one team, this year there was much more parity. After a first half with four goals, Bar\u00e7a, which was never behind on the scoreboard, managed to close out the match by drawing on their bench depth and with an immense Joan Garc\u00eda in goal<\/p>

An assist from Olmo to Raphinha<\/strong> settled the final in favor of the Cul\u00e9s, who win their first title of 25\/26 and their third consecutive final against Madrid, all with Flick on the bench. Furthermore, the Catalans maintain absolute hegemony in the Super Cup, with 16 titles, three more than the Whites (13).<\/p>

Bar\u00e7a’s Dominance from Minute 1<\/h2>

Hansi Flick<\/strong> opted for Robert Lewandowski<\/a> as the ‘9’ instead of Ferran Torres<\/strong>, while Lamine Yamal<\/strong> returned to his usual position as right winger. With Ferm\u00edn L\u00f3pez and Raphinha<\/strong> swapping roles on the left and in midfield, Bar\u00e7a created attacking superiority with Kound\u00e9 and Balde<\/strong> pushing deep down the flanks<\/p>

**Xabi Alonso**, for his part, had to keep **Gonzalo Garc\u00eda** as the ‘9’, while **Kylian Mbapp\u00e9** was a substitute. The man from Tolosa reorganized his defense by putting **Ra\u00fal Asencio at right-back**, while **Aur\u00e9lien Tchouam\u00e9ni and Dean Huijsen** were the center-backs<\/p>

A mistake in Madrid’s exit allowed Ferm\u00edn to recover in midfield and thread a pass into space to Raphinha. **This time, the ’11’ resolved it impeccably**, beating Tchouam\u00e9ni in the one-on-one to unleash a cross shot with his left foot, impossible for Courtois.<\/p>

With Yamal much looser on the right, Bar\u00e7a had Madrid on the ropes in the last ten minutes of the first half<\/strong>. Ferm\u00edn and Lamine himself tested Courtois with two shots that the Belgian sent to the corner, while Madrid retreated further and further towards their own goal, trying to stem the Bar\u00e7a onslaught.<\/p>

Munuera Montero gave three minutes of added time, but it ended up being eight in an absurd stoppage in Jeddah. Vinicius, in the 45+7, made it 1-1 after a great individual play. The ‘7’ left Kound\u00e9 trailing to enter the box and finish while falling with a cross shot, unstoppable for Joan Garc\u00eda.<\/p>

However, Bar\u00e7a immediately regained the lead. Pedri, with a through ball, left Lewandowski one-on-one and the Pole finished masterfully, chipping the ball over Courtois. Time seemed to be up, but Madrid managed to force a corner conceded by the Andalusian referee despite the Blaugrana’s protests.<\/p>

After Rodrygo’s cross from the right, Huijsen headed against the crossbar, after a deflection from Raphinha, but **Gonzalo** latched onto the rebound and, with a shot from the ground, made it 2-2 in the 45+7′<\/a>. After a crazy stoppage time, there were a draw in the Super Cup final<\/p>

Much more even second half in Jeddah<\/h2>

Both teams came out for the second half unchanged, and the match turned into a back-and-forth with a similar rhythm to the added time in the first half. Joan Garc\u00eda was impeccable<\/strong> as he saved a couple of shots from Vinicius and Rodrygo in the initial quarter of an hour, during which Bar\u00e7a only generated danger with a free kick from Raphinha from the edge of the box that went high.<\/p>

In the 65th minute, Hansi Flick made two expected substitutions: **Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres for Ferm\u00edn and Lewandowski**, respectively. Xabi Alonso, for his part, surprised by taking off Valverde (who was booked) for **Arda G\u00fcler**, while Kylian Mbapp\u00e9 continued warming up.<\/p>

The changes suited Barcelona very well. Olmo’s mobility caused problems in the white defense and, in the 70th minute, Lamine came very close to scoring from a low cross by Kound\u00e9. The ’10’s’ shot, however, went straight at Courtois, who punched it away<\/p>

Three minutes later, Raphinha, with a bit of luck, regained the lead for Bar\u00e7a<\/strong>. The Brazilian, despite slipping, shot from the edge of the box at a ball that Olmo and Ferran let go to draw the marking. The shot deflected off Asensio and ended up in a goal, with Courtois completely out of position.<\/p>

With their backs against the wall, Xabi Alonso had no choice but to bring on Mbapp\u00e9 in place of Gonzalo in the 75th minute to search for an equalizer. Nevertheless, the Blaugrana team maintained control of the midfield, with a Madrid side exhausted and split between the lines.<\/p>

With seven minutes left, Flick brought on Rashford for Raphinha and Gerard Mart\u00edn for Eric Garc\u00eda<\/strong>. In Madrid, David Alaba came on for Huijsen. The Whites ran out of steam and ideas in the final stretch, with Mbapp\u00e9 completely disappearing.<\/p>
