Initially, the new Club World Cup generated high expectations. For the first time, the tournament brought together teams from all confederations, but the spectacle is leaving much to be desired, both on and off the pitch<\/strong>. Among the most notable negative aspects, we can mention:<\/p>

    Why didn’t Bar\u00e7a qualify for the Club World Cup?<\/b><\/h2>

    It is important to note that FIFA only grants two spots per country. Regarding Spain, Real Madrid and Atl\u00e9tico de Madrid<\/strong> qualified for having a better coefficient than Barcelona, as qualification takes into account performance during the 2021-2024 period in continental competitions (in this case, the UEFA Champions League).<\/p>

    Bar\u00e7a, during that time, was eliminated in the group stage of the 2021\/22 and 2022\/23 Champions League, while in 2023\/24, they reached the quarterfinals, but it wasn’t enough (they needed to advance at least to the ‘semis’ and hope for an early elimination of Aleti).<\/p>

    In this context, Real Madrid qualified by winning the Champions League twice in the last five years, and Atl\u00e9tico by having a better coefficient score, according to UEFA.<\/p>

    Therefore, for the next edition (2029), Bar\u00e7a is obligated to win the Champions League in one of its next two editions to secure its qualification<\/strong>, unless FIFA modifies the qualification system.<\/p>
