Why? With the excellent performance he has had in the 2024\/25 season in <strong>LaLiga EA Sports<\/strong>, accumulating up to two goals and three assists in five matches played with <strong>Celta de Vigo<\/strong>, speculations are beginning to gain strength. This is particularly relevant given that the Barcelona team has various ways to benefit from him.<\/p>  <p>One of the possible scenarios was the repatriation of <strong>Mingueza<\/strong> by <strong>FC Barcelona<\/strong>. Being a homegrown player and having debuted in the first team, the player from Santa Perpetua de Moguda\u200b\u200b\u200b knows the idiosyncrasies of the club. Furthermore, he is a versatile player who can play in various positions, such as midfielder, defender, and right-back.<\/p>  <p>Furthermore, this option seemed to be a &#8216;low-cost&#8217; alternative, as according to various sources, <strong>Bar\u00e7a<\/strong> would have <a data-external=\"0\" data-intl-links-en=\"https:\/\/www.fcbarcelonanoticias.com\/en\/transfers\/market-bargain-the-amount-that-barca-would-have-to-give-to-celta-if-they-wanted-to-pick-up-mingueza_307155_102.html\" data-intl-links-es=\"https:\/\/www.fcbarcelonanoticias.com\/fichajes\/chollo-mercado-monto-tendria-dar-barca-celta-si-quisiera-repescar-mingueza_307155_102.html\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fcbarcelonanoticias.com\/en\/fichajes\/chollo-mercado-monto-tendria-dar-barca-celta-si-quisiera-repescar-mingueza_307155_102.html\" rel=\"follow\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Market bargain? The amount Bar\u00e7a would have to pay Celta if they wanted to bring back Mingueza\">an option to repurchase for around nine million euros<\/a>. A reasonable amount considering that the market value of the Barcelona-born player is eight million euros (according to &#8216;Transfermarkt&#8217;).<\/p>  <h2>FC Barcelona would not have a buy-back option on \u00d3scar Mingueza<\/h2>  <p>However, this scenario seems to have been merely a rumor. At least that&#8217;s what the sports director of <strong>Celta de Vigo<\/strong>, <strong>Marco Garc\u00e9s<\/strong>, stated in his most recent appearance before the media. Garc\u00e9s asserted firmly that, while <strong>FC Barcelona<\/strong> has ways to benefit from <strong>Mingueza<\/strong>, the repurchase option is not one of them: &#8220;Barcelona has a right of first refusal and 50% of a future sale. <strong>It does not have a buy-back option<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>  <p>Now, it is important to note that this information partially contradicts the statement issued by the club in 2022 regarding the player&#8217;s sale, where it was mentioned that the Catalan team reserved &#8220;<strong>a buy-back right for the player in the future<\/strong>.&#8221; With this in mind, it remains to be seen if the team from the City of Counts, which holds 50% of the economic rights, will make any comments on this matter or show interest in his repatriation, although the latter option seems unlikely.<\/p>  <p>Even so, Deco, the sports director of <strong>FC Barcelona<\/strong>, recently expressed in an interview with &#8216;AS&#8217; when asked about a possible return of <strong>\u00d3scar Mingueza<\/strong>. &#8220;At the moment, we haven&#8217;t considered his return.
