Renewal and improvement of Casadó’s contract with FC Barcelona. The agreement is only pending signature and official announcement.

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Fútbol Club Barcelona and Marc Casadó already have everything closed to extend and improve the contract of the Catalan midfielder with the Blaugrana entity. As advanced by the podcast “Barça Reservat”, a few weeks ago Deco and the player’s agents agreed on the terms of the renewal, although the official announcement has been postponed due to agenda issues.

Once the transfer window has passed and the continuity of Marc Casadó at Barça has been confirmed, there are no longer any obstacles for the club to officially announce the contractual improvement. Everything points to the fact that it will be a matter of days before the final signature takes place.

Casadó-Barça: economic improvement and contract extension

Marc Casadó had signed a contract until 2028 in the summer of 2024, just before making the definitive leap to the first team. At just 21 years old, the player from San Pere de Vilamajor has established himself as a reliable alternative in the team led by Hansi Flick.

The new agreement contemplates an improvement in his economic conditions and an extension of the link for at least one more season, thus reinforcing the club’s confidence in a player considered strategic for the future of the midfield.

Change of agents: Jorge Mendes, new representative

Another of the recent movements in the footballer’s career has been the change of representation agency. Casadó has become managed by Jorge Mendes, one of the most influential agents on the international scene and who already works with several Barça stars, including Lamine Yamal.

Mendes’ arrival adds a new context to the negotiations, as he is an agent with great weight in the club and in the European market, which could open new opportunities for the midfielder in the coming years.

A player of present and future at Barça

Barça’s commitment to Marc Casadó confirms the club’s intention to shield the young talents from the youth academy who already have a leading role in the first team.

His profile as a defensive midfielder, with a capacity for sacrifice and tactical rigor, fits the current needs of the Blaugrana squad and projects him as a key piece in the immediate future.

The official announcement of his new contract will serve as a clear message of stability and confidence, both for the player and for the Blaugrana environment, reinforcing the sports project led by Hansi Flick.
