FC Barcelona dropped two places in the UEFA Champions League 2025/26 standings on matchday 4. With the 3-3 draw against Bruges, Hansi Flick's team missed a great opportunity to enter the TOP-8 which grants direct access to the round of 16.

The Catalans barely salvaged 1 point in Belgium in a great match that saw the Catalans trailing three times. Ferran Torres, Lamine Yamal, and Christos Tzolis (own goal) scored the goals for a Barça that had its great star in the '10'.

The Mataró native returned to his best form, scoring a 'Messi-esque' goal in the 61st minute and providing the assist for the final 3-3. In the next matchday, Flick's team visits Chelsea, who also failed to win on Wednesday during their visit to Qarabag (2-22).

Estevao Willian put the English ahead in the 16th minute, but Qarabag reacted with goals from Leandro Andrade and Marko Jankovic (a penalty). Alejandro Garnacho made it 2-2 in the second half, a result with which Chelsea remains in 12th place, just behind Barça, also with 7 points. Both teams will face each other on November 25th at Stamford Bridge

Had Barcelona won in Bruges, they would have climbed to 7th place with 9 points, a position currently held by Real Madrid. Xabi Alonso's team remains in the top eight despite their 1-0 defeat to Liverpool. The Reds, in fact, occupy the final automatic qualification spot for the round of 16, also with 9 points.

Further down the table, just ahead of Barça, are Galatasaray and Tottenham. For now, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, and Inter Milan are the only teams with a perfect record. On Wednesday, the Nerazzurri defeated Kairat 2-1 in Italy with goals from Lautaro Martínez and Carlos Augusto.

Manchester City now occupies fourth place. Pep Guardiola's side reached 10 points with their 4-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund. Phil Foden, with a brace, Erling Haaland, and Rayan Cherki scored the goals in the rout in England.

On Wednesday, none of the three Spanish clubs managed a win in the Champions League. Villarreal suffered a narrow defeat away to Pafos (1-0), while Athletic Club also fell short in Newcastle (2-0). Both clubs are currently eliminated, with Villarreal having only managed 1 point out of a possible 12.
