Atlético de Madrid had a complicated debut in the UEFA Champions League. The 'colchoneros' fell at Anfield against Liverpool (3-2), one of the four favorites that debuted on Wednesday. On matchday 2, the Bavarians will visit Pafos, while the London team will do the same against Benfica at Stamford Bridge. Liverpool, on the other hand, will go to Galatasaray's field and Atlético will host Frankfurt. In the case of Atalanta, they will face Bruges in Bergamo, while PSG will travel to Catalunya to face FC Barcelona.

Olympiacos and Slavia Prague failed to take advantage of their home advantage
In the two matches that started Wednesday's matchday, Olympiacos and Slavia Prague drew at home against Pafos (0-0) and Bodo/Glimt (2-2), respectively. The duel in El Pireo was a Greek monologue, with a Pafos in numerical inferiority from the 25th minute. However, José Luis Mendilibar's team failed to break the zero.
