The Football Club Barcelona has identified around 330 cases of ticket resale for the matchday 6 duel of the UEFA Champions League against Eintracht Frankfurt. The club will reinforce security measures this Tuesday for entry to the Spotify Camp Nou, in addition to implementing sanctions against members and/or season ticket holders who engage in this practice
At the moment, there are serious indications that 323 members and another 7 season ticket holders of Barça may have opted to resell their tickets to fans of the German team. In this regard, the Barça Disciplinary Committee is already evaluating each case and will soon announce exemplary measures against those who engage in this practice. All suspicious tickets were immediately canceled.
With the activation of the Lateral, the Spotify Camp Nou has a total capacity of 45,401 spectators in its phase 1B. Barça will return to the Stadium 1,140 days after the last Champions League match at Les Corts (October 26, 2022, against Bayern) and the board wants to guarantee a Barça celebration, as happened in the league match against Athletic.
Barça reduces ticket quota for Eintracht fans
In this regard, the club only allocated 5% of the official ticket sales to Eintracht fans, the minimum established by UEFA regulations for Champions League matches. In total, the Germans will have around 2,250 seats at the stadium, but it is likely that a much larger number will travel to Catalonia on Tuesday
In April 2022, Barça hosted Eintracht for the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals, a match where ticket resales reached record figures. More than 30,000 Frankfurt fans turned the Camp Nou stands white, on a very sad day that led to Barça's elimination from the tournament (2-3 defeat)
After that regrettable incident, the club implemented nominal tickets for European competition matches starting from the 22/23 season. This year, in addition, other additional measures will be implemented to combat resale

New security measures for entry to Spotify Camp Nou
Ahead of the match corresponding to matchday 6 of the Champions League playoffs, all tickets will be delivered through the Members' App, once the issue with QR code generation prior to the match against Alavés has been resolved.
Each ticket is personalized and non-transferable for Barça members. In addition, ID will be required to confirm the identity of each fan entering the stadium, to prevent Eintracht fans from sneaking in by wearing the Barça jersey over their club's.
Other additional measures announced by the club include:
- Increased security measures at every entrance to Spotify Camp Nou, as well as in the stadium stands, to manage incidents and eject troublemakers.
- Nominal and visual control of attendees with Eintracht Frankfurt symbols or attire to rule out indications of illegal ticket purchases.
- Joint operation with Eintracht Frankfurt, the Guardia Urbana, and the Mossos d’Esquadra to prevent access to the vicinity of Spotify Camp Nou for rival team fans seeking to buy tickets through resale.
- Daily analysis of sales to identify potential fraudulent sales patterns. In each case, the club will take the necessary measures to prevent any breach in the security of Barça fans.
- If the traceability of the purchase and final destination of tickets reveals fraudulent activity, a report will be submitted to the Disciplinary Committee for them to take appropriate action against those responsible.
