OFFICIAL: Laporta confirms that Barça will play at Montjuïc in the 2023/24 season

The president of the Barcelona, Joan Laporta, has appeared this Tuesday in front of the media and the City council of Barcelona to present officially the agreement where confirms that the club will play of temporary form in the Olympic Stadium Lluís Companys during the campaign 2023/24.

The mandator began his intervention speaking of the transfer and of the start of the works. "The FC Barcelona will play in the Olympic Stadium Lluís Companys the season 2023/24 during the development of the works of the Espai Barça. Recently the City council awarded us the Licence of works and will initiate them this summer of the first and the second terracing. The year in that we will have to do the third terracing and the cover will be playing here in Montjuïc", affirmed.

Besides, also it mentioned that the club engages to improve big part of the installations of this 'new' enclosure. "The Barça has engaged to adapt the olympic installations and to modernizar services and auxiliary spaces like the terracing of press, the changing rooms and a zone of internal parking", aimed the leader, that will have to improve some areas for the comfort of all.

Finally, it stood out the importance that has the stadium and what wishes of the fans for this season. "We are speaking of an iconic stadium of the olympic Barcelona. We are speaking of an international reference of the city and like Barça would like us that the season that are here these surroundings was the epicentre of the barcelonismo", concluded the executive in front of the press.

There will be the same capacity
