Format of the Copa del Rey Round of 32

As has been customary in recent seasons, the four teams that will play in the Spanish Super Cup will be included in the draws for this round

  1. Barça, Real Madrid, Atlético and Athletic Club will be drawn against the four lower-division teams that have advanced from the previous round.

  2. The matches in this round will be played at the ground of the lower-division team.

  3. In the event that two clubs from the same division face each other, the tie will take place at the stadium of the club whose ball is drawn first from the pot.

  4. The lower-division teams will face the more powerful teams, in a single match with extra time and penalties if the score is tied at the end of regular time.
