FC Barcelona has still not been able to register all of its players, which is why they have not been able to announce the official numbers they will wear in the 2025/26 season. For now, the club is still working to return to the 1:1 rule, which is key to resolving all pending issues.
The agreement with the Democratic Republic of Congo, the departure of some players and the sale of the exploitation rights of 475 VIP seats at Spotify Camp Nou for 100 million euros, provide some relief on the financial side. In fact, the board expects to receive the 'Ok' from its auditor, Crowe Spain and LaLiga this week for this operation.
These are the Barça numbers for 25/26: Which ones are free?
Ideally, the situation should be resolved before next Sunday when the Joam Gamper Trophy is played, the moment when the club presents its players wearing the number they will use for the entire season.
However, in the previous season the blaugrana club did not announce the definitive numbers until September 3, once the summer market was over. Will history repeat itself this year? Barça hopes to have everything ready much sooner.

The shirts with Lamine Yamal's '10' have been a sales success
For now, the main novelty, in terms of numbers, was Lamine Yamal when he left the '19' to take the '10' that Ansu Fati left, who went on loan to AS Monaco in France.
Not only the impact of Yamal with the '10' shirt has been media-driven, but it has also been significant economically. In the first hours that the shirt was available, Nike sold more than 70,000 units around the world, while the first global shipment sold out in a couple of days.
For now, it is unknown who will take the '19' that the young star of the blaugrana club has just left. Marcus Rashford wore the '19' while playing for Manchester United, but opted for the '14' in his presentation.
The Swede Roony Bardghji wore the '19' in the commitments in Korea and Japan, but it is not guaranteed because, due to the salary margin, it is not known if he can be registered in the first team. At the moment, he has a place in the reserve team thanks to his age (19 years).
Other numbers that would be free are the '18' (which Pau Víctor used in 24/25), which Gerard Martín may possibly use in honor of his idol Jordi Alba, and the '22', which Marc Bernal could wear. The latter has been vacant since 22/23 (Raphinha). The '12' is also free, a number that Martin Braithwaite last wore in 21/22.
Ter Stegen would continue to be Barça's '1'
Barcelona's other reinforcement this summer, Joan García wore the '1' on the Asian tour, while Marc-André ter Stegen recovers from an operation in the lumbar region. However, the captain's future is a mystery, as he has completely distanced himself from the club due to the controversy related to his time off.
Wojciech Szczesny, on the other hand, would use his number '25', the same as last season. While waiting to resolve the 'Ter Stegen case', García could take the '13' that would be available after the departure of Iñaki Peña this summer. The '12', widely used by goalkeepers, would also be vacant. The rest of the first team numbers already have an owner.
