The Spotify Camp Nou is taking shape more and more, to the point that the return of FC Barcelona to its iconic stadium, scheduled for next September, already within the 2025–26 season, seems to be an imminent reality. In recent days, various images and videos have emerged showing significant progress on the Blaugrana stadium’s renovations.
The Spotify Camp Nou turf is now fully installed
One of the most important milestones in the renovation of the venue is the complete installation of the new Camp Nou turf, an essential step for the Barça team to return to playing at their traditional home. This progress came after the completion of work related to the drainage system and other essential technical installations.
As recently reported by FCBN, once these preliminary tasks were finished, the natural turf was laid down, and it now fully covers the playing surface.
The field markings are already in place
In addition to the turf installation, the official white lines marking the zones of the field—goal areas, the center circle, sidelines, and others—have already been drawn. This indicates that the pitch is increasingly ready to host official matches.
Lighting and grandstand upgrades at Camp Nou
Another notable development has been the partial installation of the Spotify Camp Nou lighting system. Recent images show that tests are already underway at night to verify the performance of the new lighting panels.
During these tests, the lights alternate between the club’s signature blue and garnet colors, as well as standard white lighting, which promises to enhance the stadium’s visual appeal during matches.
Likewise, the new grandstands are also taking shape, with a large number of seats already installed. In particular, major efforts are being focused on the development of the third tier, a key element in modernizing the venue.
