Dani Olmo will be available again for FC Barcelona.  The player from Terrassa, who still does not have medical clearance, has effectively participated in the recent training sessions of the azulgrana team, so his return to the squad is likely to be the major news for the match against Valencia CF in the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey 2024-25 (9:30 p.m.).

Moreover, Hansi Flick, the azulgrana coach, has made it clear that he is counting on the player for the match against the 'ches'; however, he has practically ruled out starting him. Instead, he sees him as a game-changer depending on how the match unfolds. "Dani is an option for the second half", commented.

It should be noted that since January 19, Dani Olmo has been dealing with a strain in the soleus muscle of his right leg,  without a specific return time being established, as it was dependent on the player's recovery from this physical setback. Apparently, he is recovering, having only missed the matches against SL Benfica (4-5), Valencia CF (7-1), Atalanta (2-2), and Deportivo Alavés (1-0).

Caution is needed for Dani Olmo's return to action

Returning to the topic of Dani Olmo and his involvement in the clash against the 'ches', Hansi Flick is clear that, although he is considering giving him playing time, he will not take risks and everything will depend on how he feels. "Dani has shown in many matches how important he is for us. He scores goals, knows how to keep the ball. Having players like him in the team is important, but we need to take care of him. He has been injured quite a bit, but he also needs to play. We need to be cautious, understand his feelings to adapt. He is very important for us," he concluded.
