Futbol Club Barcelona is back home. This Friday, Hansi Flick's team starred in a historic training session at Spotify Camp Nou, watched by 22,280 fans who didn't want to miss the return to the Barcelona stadium.
The club opened the doors of the blaugrana colossus at 9:30 AM to hold an operational session that served as a dress rehearsal before the official return to matches at the culé temple. The players arrived from the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, already dressed in their training kits, ready to experience a symbolic and highly anticipated moment.
Historic session at the new Camp Nou
Before starting the physical and tactical work, the entire squad took to the pitch together for a group photo that will remain a memento. Among those present were the injured footballers, who did not want to miss such a special occasion. The training session, which lasted approximately one hour, allowed Flick to check the condition of the pitch and the functionality of the stadium's new facilities
The German coach had all first-team players available, with the exception of Jules Koundé, who did not train with the group. One of the notable points was the presence of Eric García, who appeared with a protective mask after the nasal fracture suffered in the match against Bruges.
Six talents from the reserve team accompany Barça's first team
The technical staff completed the call-up with six players from Barça Atlètic: Xavi Espart, Diego Kochen, Eder Aller, Jofre Torrents, Dro Fernández, and Toni Fernández. All of them actively participated in the session, showing their commitment and enthusiasm to the crowd that filled a good part of the stands of the renovated Spotify Camp Nou.
The atmosphere was one of pure celebration. The fans cheered throughout the session, chanting the names of their idols and enjoying the return to the stadium that is part of the Blaugrana identity.
Next objective: visit to Vigo
After completing this first test in their stadium, FC Barcelona is already thinking about their next challenge: the match against Celta de Vigo at Balaídos, corresponding to matchday 12 of LaLiga EA Sports. The game will be played this Sunday at 9:00 PM and will be the last before the November international break
With morale high and the unconditional support of the fans, Hansi Flick's team will seek to maintain their good momentum before the international break, with the firm intention of continuing to climb positions in the standings.
A long-awaited return for all Barça fans
This first training session at Spotify Camp Nou marks the beginning of a new era in the club's recent history. After months of construction work and matches at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, Barça is progressively returning home, where magical Champions League nights and great LaLiga duels will soon resume
The event has also served as a functional test for all stadium services, from public access to the new stands and press areas, confirming that the official return is getting closer and closer.
