The 25/26 season has just begun for FC Barcelona. They have yet to wear any of their new kits in the first two matchdays against Mallorca and Levante, and images of the first Blaugrana kit for the 26/27 season have already been leaked.

Although they haven't been able to debut the new shirts, Barça is already working on the design of a new one. The club has a lot at stake, both financially and in terms of marketing. Nike has made its proposals, and the website ‘Footy Headlines’ has been responsible for leaking them.

The 26/27 shirt would be very similar to the previous season's

In the images shown by the website specializing in football kits, a Blaugrana jersey can be seen that only contains two thick stripes, one blue and one garnet.

The main new feature is that this kit could have two shades of red and four different tones of blue. On this occasion, it will be a bit darker than the 24/25 kit. The shorts, however, will be entirely dark blue, as will the socks, with the logos in yellow.

“Keep in mind that our design is only an initial estimate. Although we believe we are on the right track, the final design could be completely different,” ‘Footy Headlines’ notes while leaking the design.

Barça still hasn't debuted its new kits in LaLiga

Barça has not been able to debut any of its new kits in the first two matchdays of the 25/26 LaLiga EA Sports season. In both the match at Son Moix against Mallorca and at the Estadio Ciutat de València against Levante, Flick's side wore the lime green shirt, the third kit from the 24/25 season.

Both the Blaugrana team and their opponent must upload their kits beforehand to LaLiga's ‘kit selector’ application. Once in the system, each color must be validated by the LaLiga match director. In this regard, none of Barça's kits for the 25/26 season passed the final filter in either of the two matchdays played so far.

On the first matchday against Mallorca at Son Moix, the Culés couldn't use the home Blaugrana kit due to a potential clash on television. And the 'Mamba Mentality' kit, inspired by Kobe Bryant, was also not approved because the black shorts and socks clashed with those of the home team.

Against Levante, it was also not possible to get LaLiga's 'OK' for Barcelona's kits. Even the orange shirt, released this week, was rejected due to contrast issues.

In 2014, FC Barcelona had played in a very similar color against the 'Granotas' (Levante's nickname), but LaLiga has since changed its criteria regarding color conditions. For now, they will continue without debuting a new kit, at least until the trip to Rayo next Sunday. After seeing the photos of next year's shirt, what do you think of the new kit?
