The FC Barcelona expects to have in the Spotify Camp Nou a new and remodelled home for the season 2025-2026. However, the project of renewal of the installations has seen delayed because of the fault of the necessary permissions to be able to continue with the works.
From the past month of August, the club is expecting the granting of the licence of works by part of the City council of Barcelona to be able to begin the construction. The formality has been slow because of modifications made by the managerial board of Joan Laporta in comparison with the plan approved by the previous managerial of Josep María Bartomeu, especially regarding the third gradería, that has been modified to include two rings of loges and increase his height.
It expects that the FC Barcelona obtain finally the permission in the next days, before the Assembly of Compromisarios that will carry out on 21 October of this year. In said meeting, will present a report on the state of the Espai Barça and expects that they give good news in this regard.

The constructor Limak, attendant of the works of demolition, has made a fast and efficient work, but the delay in the obtaining of the licence has prevented to advance in the works of reform of the stadium. In spite of being prepared to begin the construction, the time that has saved in the demolition has not been able to invest in the works of reform. The FC Barcelona has the intention to accelerate the process, since has foreseen that for November of 2024, coinciding with the 125 anniversary of the club, can play in the Spotify Camp Nou renewed.
