Lamine Yamal and six other internationals returned this Tuesday to the Ciutat Esportiva of FC Barcelona after the double round of UEFA qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup with their national teams. Only Fermín López, Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres and Pau Cubarsí worked normally on the pitch, prior to Wednesday's day off.
However, the '10', along with Pedri and Lewandowski, returned without any physical setbacks and will be fully available in Thursday's session, the first with their minds set on matchday 4 of LaLiga against Valencia. The player from Mataró, prior to the match against Carlos Corberán's team, arrives on a roll after shining with Spain against Bulgaria (0-3) and Turkey (0-6).
Lamine Yamal, ready to reappear with Barça after a 'scare' with Spain
The 18-year-old winger was a starter in both matches, although he left the match in Bulgaria with slight discomfort in his back. Lamine assisted Mikel Merino in the goal that closed the scoring before halftime, but was eventually replaced in the 79th minute by debutant Jesús Rodríguez.
After confirming that the lower back pains were only the product of a blow, Luis de la Fuente once again opted for the player from Rocanfonda from the start against Turkey, a match where the National Team repeated the XI and displayed spectacular football. La Roja went to halftime again winning 0-3, but this time did not slow down in the second half.
On the contrary, with the help of Yamal and Merino, they rounded off a historic thrashing in a place that is always difficult. The '19' missed a very clear chance, point-blank, in the first half, but gave two other assists to Ferran Torres and Mikel himself that put the score at 0-5.
Lamine and Oyarzabal (3 assists) were in charge of distributing goals, while Nico Williams, before his injury in the first half, had also assisted Pedri in the first Spanish goal in Konya.

2 goals and 5 assists in 5 matches: brutal start to the season for Lamine
In the two qualifying matches, the first ones on the road to the 2026 World Cup, the player from Rocafonda added 3 assists in 152 minutes played. Before the break, with Barcelona, the '10' scored a couple of goals and assisted another two in the first three matchdays of LaLiga.
Lamine Yamal debuted in the 25/26 season with a goal and an assist against Mallorca (0-3). Afterwards, he served one of the goals in the comeback against Levante (2-3) and, against Rayo, he scored from the penalty spot the only Barça goal in Vallecas (1-1).
Thus, the 18-year-old winger is completing a brutal start to the season, being by far the best player on the planet at the moment. Kylian Mbappé is also 'on fire' with Real Madrid and the French national team (he has scored 5 goals), but his impact on the game is much less as a natural '9'.
