Joan Laporta harshly criticized Florentino Pérez and Real Madrid during the presentation of the book 'Principado azulgrana: a country with a Barça feeling'. At an event held in Andorra, the Barça president defended FC Barcelona following Florentino's criticisms during the last Madrid assembly.

"(Florentino's words) **denote the 'Barcelonitis' that Madrid has. It seems they have to talk about Barça to justify I don't know what**. They are present at all times in the judicial process of the 'Negreira Case', which they are stretching like chewing gum because they know there's nothing," 'Jan' began.

In that sense, he added: "but it's a way of justifying something that isn't true: Barça has never bought a referee and referees generally don't favor Barça. They've always favored Madrid". In this regard, he recalled the two 'Merengue' goals against Elche (2-2), which should have been disallowed by VAR".

From my point of view, it's clear that Bellingham touched the ball with his arm, which facilitated the goal; and in the other instance, Vinicius broke Iñaki's nose. Those two goals should not have stood, and Barça would now be leading LaLiga," argued Laporta.

'RMTV' Harassment, Madrid's Panic and Persecution in LaLiga

The Barça president also criticized the harassment of referees by 'Real Madrid TV', whose reports aim to influence refereeing decisions each matchday. "What their television says is worthy of study. I understand the sociological Real Madrid fanbase that exists, but let them not give us little lessons and not discredit us," he added.

Likewise, Laporta believes that Madrid suffers from **a "persecutory mania" due to the prestige and titles won by Barça between 2004 and 2015**, all through their own merit. Furthermore, he insists that the "Barcelonitis" of Florentino and the white leadership denotes a distraction strategy to cover up their shortcomings, as well as the good moment of the Blaugrana team.

"**Perhaps they are panicking because Barça is re-emerging and we could have a splendid period that they want to minimize or discredit**, but we will not allow it," the Barça president stated.

"If they are installed in Barcelona, I'm delighted, because generally those are times when Barça is successful and triumphs"

Defense of Ronald Araujo and Calmness After Defeat Against Chelsea

Joan Laporta also reviewed the current situation of Hansi Flick's team. The president expressed his confidence in recovering the bulk of the squad in the coming weeks, although Fermín López will be out for about 15 days. Regarding the defeat against Chelsea, the leader believes it will be "a turning point" to see the best Barça again.

"Many times in our history, a bad result has catapulted us into a good season of success. I am sure it will be like this," Laporta stated, who also backed Ronald Araujo. For the president, the Uruguayan center-back has the unconditional support of the club and the locker room.

"He has been criticized a lot, and I don't think it's fair. He gives his all on the field. He is our captain. I want to tell him that we are with him, that we win and lose together. We are a team, there is no single person responsible for victories or defeats," Laporta pointed out.

"We are in the process of recovery. Joy has settled in among Barcelona fans... and perhaps that will cause panic in Real Madrid, in case we recover a splendid era. We already started it last season"
