FC Barcelona presented Marcus Rashford this Wednesday as the second official reinforcement of the first team, after the arrival of Joan García. During his first public appearance as a 'Blaugrana' player, the Manchester native thanked the club for the confidence and affection received in his first hours in Barcelona.

"I have always liked to see good football. I think I'm going to enjoy playing here. It's a family club, where great players play," the English winger began by saying. In that sense, he valued the titles obtained last season, as well as the ambition of the squad and the coaching staff to try to win everything in 2026.

In this regard, he pointed out the importance of the talk he had with Hansi Flick before traveling to Barcelona, a key factor in directing his signing. "He has proven to be one of the top coaches. He led a young team to such a successful season and has returned to the preseason wanting more," argued the 27-year-old striker.

Rashford, confident about his adaptation to Barça's game

Similarly, Marcus, who has chosen the number '14' in the 'Blaugrana' team, was confident in his ability to adapt to Spanish football and the 'Blaugrana' scheme.

"I hope it's as soon as possible and I adapt to the way of playing. I am determined that it will be so. Not only that, but I want to understand and know more about this club. About its fans, its values... I want to understand the complete experience," explained the new 'culé' reinforcement.

In addition, he made it clear that his goal is to win titles and make history with Barça, although he arrives on loan and without a mandatory purchase option. "My goal is simple, to win everything, although I want to enjoy and try to improve. I hope to score many goals and become the top English scorer in history, but I prioritize winning," added Rashford.

"I think this is the best place to win titles. It is a very ambitious team and I will try to help the team as much as I can."

Rashford's praise for Lamine Yamal and the Barça squad

On the other hand, the new '14' 'culé' took the opportunity again to praise Lamine Yamal, whom he considers "a great talent" and one of the best players in the world today.

"I want to play with the best and there is a lot of talent in this team, I could see it these last few days. I hope I can help him and he can help me. It's exciting," commented Marcus.

Similarly, he valued his time at Aston Villa, a semester where he claims to have improved a lot on a personal level. "Things have changed in my life, not only with things from the sport itself but also with my discipline. I am happy to be here and to enjoy this club," pointed out the new Barça striker.

Rashford will train with the rest of the squad starting this Thursday. In principle, the club would travel to Japan to start the Asian tour, but finally the friendly against Vissel Kobe was suspended due to breaches by the event promoter.

"All the players have impressed me. Not only on the field, but in the locker room. Hansi has done a great job with the team."
