Thus, the Blaugrana club plans to obtain the completion certificate (CFO) for the Tribune and South Goal areas next Monday, which will allow an approximate capacity of 27,000 fans, evidently key details for the return to the Blaugrana temple, according to recent information.

It should be noted that the board of directors of the Catalan entity expected to complete the process this week, but the approval has not yet been transferred to the offices of the Barcelona team. To be valid, it must have the signature of the construction management, the execution management, the Turkish construction company Limak and the club itself.

Next step: approval from the City Council

In this context, after obtaining the final completion certificate, Barca will take the next administrative step: request the City Council and the specialized company DEKRA to issue the necessary technical suitability report to obtain the license for first occupation of the Tribune and South Goal areas. 

DEKRA, authorized by the council, is the entity in charge of evaluating key aspects such as safety, protection and sustainability in the urban interventions of the municipality.

Likewise, the club will inform LaLiga and UEFA about the process, who are expected to send a group of representatives at the end of August to verify the status of the works, in addition to announcing the decision on whether or not the Champions League and domestic competition matches can be played at the Blaugrana stronghold.

Staggered opening for the Spotify Camp Nou

In this order of ideas, the Blaugrana team contemplates a progressive reopening of the Spotify Camp Nou throughout the season. In the first phase, the Tribune and South Goal areas will be enabled; later, the Lateral will be opened, which will allow the capacity to be expanded to 45,000 spectators. Finally, the opening of the North Goal will be launched, with the aim of reaching 60,000 seats available between the first and second tiers.

The works at the Camp Nou are progressing at a good pace

The workers who work on the premises do not stop and, consequently, the works on the stronghold continue to advance. In this sense, the benches are already installed, apart from the fact that some rows of the ‘rail seats’ have already been placed in the South Goal, where the future Grada d’Animació will be located; it was previously located in the North Goal.

Likewise, significant advances are also evident inside the Estadi, especially in the access areas. In addition, the construction of the Lower Telecommunications Facilities Enclosure (RITI), a key space that houses telephone and broadband telecommunications service operators, has been completed.
