Sama Nomoko has been the great revelation of Barça Atlètic at the start of the 2025/26 season. The Malian has 2 goals and 1 assist in 443 minutes (7 matches) with the Barça B team and the youth team in the UEFA Youth League, in both cases managed by Juliano Belletti.

The right winger, just 17 years old, has impressed with his speed to break down the flank, with crosses into the area and striking from medium and long range being his specialty. Nomoko made the leap to Cadete A in the summer of 2023 and, since then, has established himself as one of the youth players with the best prospects at La Masia.

"Wherever they put me, I'm going to keep working and give one hundred percent of myself. Belletti tells me to go out there and play the way I know how," said Sama after a victory with Barça Atlètic. The Brazilian coach's confidence has been key for the forward to already be seen as a possible 'reinforcement' for the first team in 25/26.

Hansi Flick Does Not Rule Out Incorporating Sama Nomoko Into the First Team

Although, for the moment, Barça has the right side of its attack well covered, Hansi Flick does not rule out giving Sama Nomoko some opportunities in the coming weeks to, at least, be included in an official call-up if the context allows.

With Lamine Yamal and Raphinha injured, Roony Bardghji is the first alternative for the right winger position. The Swede has shown flashes of quality in his first appearances, but still has much to improve in finishing and decision-making inside the area.

Marcus Rashford can also occupy the right flank, although the Englishman has performed better on the left. In any case, the demanding Azulgrana calendar could give the youth player trained at La Masia the opportunity to debut with the first team before reaching adulthood.

Nomoko is clear about his main objective: to achieve promotion with the reserve team

Samu will turn 18 next March 20th, and the club hopes to resolve his renewal soon. For now, the player from Mali will continue to contribute goals and assists to help the reserve team return to Primera RFEF, Juliano Belletti's team's main objective for the 25/26 season.

In addition, he will also lend a hand to the U-19s in defending their Youth League title. On Matchday 2, he provided an assist in the victory against PSG (2-1). Domestically, he scored against Sant Andreu and Olot in consecutive matchdays. The reserve team, for the moment, has 12 points out of a possible 15 in the fourth tier of Spanish football.
