FC Barcelona was the club whose squad value increased the most in the 2024/25 season. The good results achieved by Hansi Flick's team allowed Barça to increase the squad's value by 190 million euros, going from €880 million in June 2024 to €1.07 billion this year.

Despite the economic power of Paris Saint-Germain, the Blaugrana side's current valuation is €10 million higher than that of the reigning Champions League champion (€1.06 billion), according to figures from Transfermarkt.

Along with Barça and PSG, only four other clubs surpass the €1 billion barrier in their squad values. Real Madrid leads the market with a total of €1.3 billion, followed by Manchester City, with €1.32 billion.

The podium is completed by Arsenal, with a current value of €1.09 billion, €20 million more than Barcelona. Interestingly, two of the four most valuable clubs today are not competing in the World Cup organized by FIFA.

Chelsea completes the list of clubs exceeding the €1 billion mark, with an identical valuation to Paris (€1.06 billion). However, Luis Enrique's side are the only ones, along with Barça, to appear among the teams with the largest increase in their squad's value.

Manchester United, on the other hand, was the club whose valuation dropped the most in 24/25, losing €214 million in value. They are followed by AC Milan (€213M) and, surprisingly, the Serie A champion, Napoli (€156M), due to the departure of Kvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Barça, the team with the biggest value increase in 24/25

While Barcelona's squad value increased by 190 million euros, PSG also improved its Transfermarkt valuation by 176 million. The top three is completed by Sporting CP, which, after winning the Portuguese league and cup, increased its value by €118M, reaching a total of €511 million.

Further back are Eintracht Frankfurt, with a rise of 107 million to reach a total of €355M, and Como, the great revelation of Serie A. Cesc Fàbregas' team is now worth €188M thanks to an increase of 82 million.

However, the squad of Barça's next opponent in the Joan Gamper Trophy does not even reach the value of Lamine Yamal (€200M), currently the most valuable player on the planet.

Behind the player from Mataró, with a value of 180 million, are Erling Haaland (Manchester City) and the Real Madrid stars, Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappé. Vinicius Jr., for his part, has seen his valuation drop to 170 million.

In the Barça squad, Pedri (€140M) and Raphinha (€90M) complete the podium of the most valuable players. Further back are Pau Cubarsí (€80M) and Jules Koundé (€65M).

Barça's squad value will continue to increase after the summer transfer window

While waiting to finalize the signing of Nico Williams, Barça has the potential to increase its squad's market value after the summer transfer window closes.

The club does not anticipate the departure of any of its key players and, on the contrary, may bring in Athletic Club's 'number 10', who is currently valued at around 70 million on Transfermarkt.

The first signing of the summer window, Joan García, is worth 25 million euros, exactly the price of his release clause. Nico, on the other hand, will arrive for €12M less than his current value.

The other signing the club is working on is Roony Bardghji, who is currently worth 7.5 million. The Swedish winger will also arrive for a lower price (€2M) from Copenhagen.

Furthermore, the Blaugrana side has players like Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Grimaldo on its radar, although their signings depend on the departure of several players during the summer transfer window. By the close of the transfer window, Barça could exceed €1.15 billion in total squad value.
