The vice-president of marketing of the FC Barcelona, Manel Brook, has explained in an interview conceded to "The Avant-garde" the reasons by which the club has decided prorrogar with Qatar Airways the agreement of sponsorship that signed of 2010 to 2015, and that now has extended a year more.

The Barcelona, of this form, has won time to negotiate a new agreement of sponsorship, was with Qatar or with another company, that is had to approach to the 60-65 million euros that pays Chevrolet to the Manchester United, being the one of the "network devils" the best existent agreement regarding advertising of a team in the T-shirt, further of the almost 100 million euros by season that earns the English club of Adidas, and that allows him make each summer signings estratosféricos.

"We have not been thinking in the short term neither in this season but in the best for the club to half and long term. If have more time, there will be more options to achieve the best sponsorship of future for the club", has commented Manel Brook in the quoted interview.

"We understand that, by the current situation, the Barça deserves the best sponsorship of the world"

It treats so only of an extention of the agreement to follow negotiating for improving this type of sponsorship in the FC Barcelona. "It is an extention of the last year. It is not a new agreement neither have thought in doing an agreement for this year. We understand that by the position that occupies the club in the football nowadays, by the million followers in the social networks, the Barcelona deserves the best agreement of sponsorship of the world. And this means to be in 60-65 millions because those are the figures of the another agreement that there is, that is the one of the Manchester United".

The FC Barcelona was about to to achieve 60 million euros of Qatar, but finally the negotiations did not arrive to good port. "Faus Left agreed to almost 60 millions.
