The return to the Spotify Camp Nou by FC Barcelona seems to be getting closer and closer. In recent weeks, there have been a series of movements that fuel the certainty about the return to the Barça's ground after two seasons of exile at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys (Montjuïc).

And yes, after the Barça's vice president Rafa Yuste said in his most recent public appearance: "I can tell you that the club will soon announce where we will play and we will make an announcement about it. We will do it when it is appropriate", a new clue has emerged that has awakened the illusion of Barcelona fans.

The photo of Joan Laporta at the Camp Nou that generates illusion

An image was leaked on social networks in which the president of the Barcelona team, Joan Laporta, dressed in a suit and tie, is seen lying chest up on the central circle of the Camp Nou, smiling and showing his most Barcelona side. In the same photograph, another person is apparently taking the snapshot and several members of the audiovisual content team are talking on the grass of the Barça's temple.

In turn, the top Barça's leader was not alone. He was accompanied by directors such as Maria Elena Fort, institutional vice president and spokesperson in charge of Espai Barça, and Xavi Puig, head of women's football.

Is FC Barcelona preparing the announcement of the return to the Camp Nou?

The big question is inevitable: is the Blaugrana club preparing an audiovisual material to announce the long-awaited return to the Camp Nou? It should not be forgotten that, although the attempt failed, Laporta already starred in a similar video on June 25 to promote the return to the Barça's coliseum on the occasion of the Joan Gamper Trophy 2025.

Now, the evidence points to the fact that the situation is different. Although Barcelona has planned alternatives - such as playing the match against Valencia CF at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, since Montjuïc is not available for that date - the intention is clear: the Camp Nou could reopen its doors very soon.

The key permit that Barça needs to reopen the Camp Nou

The team from the Condal City already has the Final Construction Certificate (CFO) for phase 1A of the stadium, which will allow 27,000 seats to be enabled, including the Tribune and Gol Sur area. However, the reopening depends on one last step: the Barcelona City Council granting the first partial occupation permit after inspecting the works.

Will it be possible to inaugurate the stadium on September 14, when the Catalans receive Valencia CF for matchday four of LaLiga EA Sports 2025/26? It is still uncertain, but what is clear is that Barcelona is working against the clock to make it a reality.
