If there is one issue that FC Barcelona is likely paying special attention to in these months, it is the registration due to a precautionary measure for Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. It must be remembered that on January 8, the Higher Sports Council (CSD) granted the Catalan team the registration of both players, albeit temporarily, pending a ruling on the appeal filed by the club to determine if they are right in this conflict that arose after the registration of these assets.

The team from Barcelona defends the position that they sent the documentation to LaLiga on time and correctly to effectively register them,  an assertion contrary to what the league expressed. The organization presided over by Javier Tebas claims that the documentation was sent on January 3, three days after the deadline.

It is worth noting that the deadline to resolve this conflict is approaching its end, as once the registration has been provisionally granted, a verdict is expected within a maximum of three months, whether in favor or against the Barcelona club. Therefore, the 'deadline' to resolve this matter should be April 8th.

The 'Plan B' that FC Barcelona would have in mind if they fail to regularize the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor

Now, as reported on the program 'Què t'hi jugues!' on Cadena SER, apparently, FC Barcelona's feelings regarding their chances of obtaining a favorable verdict in this case are quite positive,  which would lead to the formal registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor.  However, the club, anticipating any scenario, seems to have a plan of action in case the resolution of the case is unfavorable.

In this regard, according to the same source mentioned, in the event that Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor are left without a license once the provisional registration has expired and the case has been resolved, FC Barcelona will resort to the ordinary justice system and request a new urgent precautionary measure so they can continue playing. This precautionary measure is based on the fact that all the documentation to register the players from Egara and Sant Cugat arrived at LaLiga on time and correctly, that is, before 11:59 p.m. on December 31.

We will have to wait and see how this case evolves, but it seems clear that this issue will be definitively resolved for the next season, as it is expected that Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor will be automatically registered permanently once July 1st arrives. It is important to remember that at the beginning of January, once LaLiga validated all the relevant documentation for the sale of VIP seats at the new Spotify Camp Nou,  sufficient 'financial fair play' was added to include the salaries of both players, so when the next summer transfer market opens, the situation should normalize, as FC Barcelona will have permanently included the players' salaries within their salary cap.
