The first duel between the FC Barcelona and the Manchester City was in 1952, in a friendly contested in the field of Them Corts, and the last was in 2009, with reason of the Trophy Joan Gamper, in the Camp Nou. In total, both teams have confronted in six occasions -always in parties no official-, with a balance of three Barcelona victories, two English and a tie.

Some of the Barça-City have been split with a lot of history. For example, the Manchester City was the invited in the memorial party of the 75 anniversary of the foundation of the FC Barcelona (1974). More than a chamber of century later, the Barcelona group would participate in the inauguration of the current stadium of the blue.
