The midfield player marfileño of the Manchester City Yaya Touré has been designated by third better consecutive time African footballer of the year, in this case of the 2013, during the gala of the African Confederation of Football (CAF), celebrated in Lagos

The ex Barcelona Yaya Touré, of 30 years, surpassed in the votes to his compatriot Didier Drogba (Galatasaray) and to the Nigerian John Obi Mikel (Chelsea). The marfileño equalises in the list of winners of the CAF with the ghanés Abedi Peel (1991, 1992 and 1993) and the Cameroonian Samuel Eto'or (2003, 2004 and 2005), also winners of this trophy in three occasions of consecutive form.
