The two wingers were decisive in the European journey of the culé team, providing imbalance, goal and offensive leadership.

Raphinha, in particular, closed an exceptional continental campaign with 13 goals and 9 assists, figures that place him as the top scorer and assistant of the 2024/25 Champions League, tied in goals with Serhou Guirassy (Borussia Dortmund).

In addition to reaching Serhou Guirassy as the top scorer of the tournament, Raphinha became the second player capable of participating in 22 goals in the same edition of the Champions League, equaling Cristiano Ronaldo who made 17 goals and 5 assists in 11 matches of the 2013/14 with Real Madrid.

Notable absences in the Barça squad

Despite the recognition of Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, other key players in Barça's great European season were left out of the selection. Pedri, Pau Cubarsí and Iñigo Martínez were not included in the ideal XI, despite their remarkable performance under the orders of Hansi Flick.

UEFA observers opted for Vitinha and Declan Rice in the center of the field, and for Marquinhos and Bastoni in the center of the rear. A choice that has generated some debate in the culé environment, where the defensive solidity of Cubarsí, revelation of the year in the blaugrana defensive axis, and, above all, the season of the culé orchestra director Pedri González, was especially valued.

PSG sweeps the ideal eleven after winning the Champions League

Paris Saint-Germain, champion of the tournament after defeating Inter Milan, places seven players in the ideal team. A massive presence thanks to the 5-0 of the final in an edition in which they finally managed to lift the first big-eared trophy in their history.

Both Doué and Dembélé also received individual distinctions: the former was named best young player, while the latter was chosen best player of the tournament.

One Inter player, one Arsenal player and no Real Madrid players!

In addition to the seven representatives of PSG and the two of Barça, the ideal eleven of the season is completed by two more players. The central defender of Inter Milan Alessandro Bastoni and the midfielder of Arsenal Declan Rice, rewarded for his 2 great free kick goals against Real Madrid.

Precisely the white team, previous champion of the Champions League, has been left without representation in the ideal XI of this season confirming the failure of a team plagued with stars like Mbappé, Vinicius or Bellingham.
