Real Madrid could lose to Mallorca due to lack of first-team players! Discover how Barça can win the La Liga title
Real Madrid will face Mallorca this Wednesday (21:30 CEST) with a serious risk of losing the match due to improper lineup given the brutal number of injuries in the first team. Carlo Ancelotti's team is obliged to win to postpone, at least until Thursday, FC Barcelona's LaLiga title. However, they will have to do so with 12 confirmed absentees, 10 of them due to injury.
On Wednesday afternoon, the club confirmed the absences of Andriy Lunin and Brahim Díaz, both called up for the match against the Balearic team, due to physical problems. Therefore, the team will only have 10 available players from the first team squad, in addition to 9 other youth players, to face Jagoba Arraste's team.

Mallorca is ninth in the standings with 47 points, the same as Rayo (8th) and still has options to get into European competition places next season. On matchday 35, the team defeated Valladolid (2-1) at home, ending a run of three games without a win and two straight defeats.
❌Madrid can lose against Mallorca due to improper lineup!

After confirming the absence of the Moroccan international, Madrid will have only 10 first-team players available to play against the Balearic team. According to the RFEF regulations, LaLiga clubs cannot field more than 4 players from the reserve team or their lower categories in an official match.
That is, teams must maintain at least 7 players from their first-team squad on the field at all times. The moment this rule is not met, the referee of the match must end the match, with victory for the opponent by a score of 3-0 due to improper lineup.
For this Wednesday, Carlo Ancelotti will have to start Courtois in goal, with Fede Vaverde and Fran García as full-backs. The Uruguayan has been dragging multiple muscular discomforts and, in the final stretch of the Clásico, he looked shaky.
In the center of the defense, Jesús Vallejo is called to accompany Raúl Asencio, since the latter has a reserve team card. For the center of the field, the chosen ones should be Dani Ceballos, Luka Modric, Arda Güler and Jude Bellingham, with Kylian Mbappé and Endrick in attack.
In this way, Madrid could only make three changes during the match so as not to violate the regulations, since all its available players on the bench belong to Castilla.
Without Lunin or Brahim available, Ancelotti will have 9 youth team players as options: goalkeepers Sergio Mestre and Fran González; Joussef ‘Yusi’, Jacobo Ramón, David Jiménez and Mario Rivas as defenders; a single midfielder (Chema Andrés) and forwards Gonzalo García and Víctor Muñoz.
A surreal situation that portrays the terrible sports planning and poor management of minutes by the coaching staff in a disastrous season in all aspects for Real Madrid.
Possible Real Madrid lineup against Mallorca:
- Courtois; Valverde, Vallejo, Asencio, Fran García; Ceballos, Modric, Bellingham, Güler; Mbappé and Endrick
📝This is what Article 246 of the General Regulations of the RFEF says
Article 246. Minimum number of players.
- 1. In order to start a match, each of the teams must appear with at least seven players from those who make up the squad of the category in which they play, provided that such anomaly is not a consequence of the will of the club but is motivated by reasons of force majeure. If said cause does not occur or, in any case, if the number is lower, the club that proceeds in this way will be considered as not having appeared.
- 2. Once the match has started, the teams must be made up, throughout its development, of at least seven players from those who make up the squad of the category in which they play. The fact that, for any reason, including the expulsion of a player or the substitution due to injury, the team is made up of less than seven players of those referred to in the previous paragraph, may be considered as a violation of improper alignment by the disciplinary body. STATE REGISTRY OF SPORTS ENTITIES - Higher Sports Council.
- 3. If once the game has started, if applicable, one of the contenders is left with a number of players less than seven, the referee will agree to suspend the match. If such a reduction of a team to less than seven players had been motivated by expulsions or injuries, the match will be resolved in favor of the opponent by a score of three goals to zero; unless it had obtained, in the time played until the suspension, a more favorable result, in which case this will be valid.
- 4. In both cases, the disciplinary body will resolve what is appropriate.

🏆If Madrid fails against Mallorca, Barça will be champion without playing!
Team | PJ | PTS | W | D | L | GF | GA | GD |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Barcelona | 35 | 82 | 26 | 4 | 5 | 95 | 36 | 59 |
R.Madrid | 35 | 75 | 23 | 6 | 6 | 72 | 37 | 31 |
Atlético | 35 | 70 | 20 | 10 | 5 | 60 | 27 | 33 |
In this way, the 'merengue' team can hand the title to Barça before the Catalan derby against Espanyol. If Madrid loses or draws against Mallorca, the distance with the 'culés' will be impossible to overcome, with just two matchdays to play for the 'blancos'.
At the moment, Barça has a 7-point advantage over Ancelotti's team and has already won the direct confrontation (two wins, 8-2 goal difference). If Madrid draws, they will be 6 points behind Flick's team, with three games to play.
To stay alive in the tournament, Madrid needs to add the three points against Mallorca, Sevilla and Real Sociedad. In addition, Barcelona would have to add only 1 point of the 9 possible against Espanyol, Villarreal and Athletic Club to lose the lead.
Therefore, everything indicates that the 'azulgrana' title is only a matter of hours. The club will celebrate its 28th League title, sentencing the first 'nadaplete' for the 'Casa Blanca' in the last four years.
