Almost complete squad for the last match of the season: Detailed Analysis

The last home match of the season allows Hansi Flick to count on most of the squad, including Robert Lewandowski, Alejandro Balde, Marc Casadó and Pablo Torre, who were out due to injury in recent weeks.

Marc Casadó was out for two months due to a partial tear of the external lateral ligament in his right knee suffered in the league match against Atlético (2-4), just before the March international break.

Although his absence until the start of pre-season was feared, the '17' shortened his recovery time and received medical clearance just before the Clásico on matchday 35, although he hasn't played any minutes since then.

The same happened with Alejandro Balde, whose absence was a little longer than expected. Álex missed Barcelona's 7 matches due to a distal injury to the femoral biceps in his left thigh, but he was able to play against Real Madrid, Espanyol, and Villarreal.

LaLiga Pichichi Title Almost Impossible for Lewandowski

Another player who is fully fit is Lewandowski, absent for three weeks due to the injury to the semitendinosus in his left thigh suffered against Celta (4-3). The Pole was a starter against Villarreal and, once again, will be in the lineup on Sunday, as he needs to score to try and get closer to Kylian Mbappé in the race for the Pichichi.

Barça's '9' is co-leader in LaLiga's top scorers table with 25 goals, three less than Kylian Mbappé (28). Pablo Torre, meanwhile, is looking to get his first minutes since matchday 29 against Girona.

Absences in the squad! How will they affect Barça at San Mamés?

In the squad list for the match between Athletic and Barça, the Culé team will have a total of three absences. The big surprise on this list is Ronald Araujo. The 'Charrúa' left the match against Espanyol in the 51st minute due to a knock on the knee but will finally travel to Bilbao.

Another key name on the absence list is Ferran TorresThe 'Tiburón' had to undergo surgery for appendicitis before the visit to Cornellà, meaning he will rest with Barça until summer. In the League, the '7' scored 10 goals in 24/25.

Similarly, Jules Koundé remains unavailable. The Frenchman played almost everything until his injury against Inter, accumulating 4 goals and 8 assists in 53 matches (4,423'). In the Copa del Rey final, against Madrid, he was the Azulgrana hero scoring the title-winning goal in extra time (3-2).

Marc Bernal Nears the End of His Serious Injury

In that sense, the Azulgrana side continues to face the absence of four key players in their squad list. Along with Ferran and Koundé, the young central midfielder Marc Bernal remains sidelined.

The academy player suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear in his left knee and an associated injury to the external meniscus in the match against Rayo Vallecano on August 27, leaving him out for the rest of the season.

That being the case, Barcelona visits Athletic with most of its squad available, seeking their 16th victory of the second half of the season and to bid farewell to the season with another win, after the inconsequential defeat on the previous matchday against Villarreal (2-3).

Despite having the LaLiga title secured, Hansi Flick will once again bet on his best available XI, probably opting for a majority of starters, although it is likely that regular substitutes will get minutes in the second half.
