FIFA has revealed the official list of nominees for The Best 2025 award, and Fútbol Club Barcelona is once again among the protagonists of world football. Four Barça players —Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Raphinha, and Wojciech Szczesny— are among the contenders for the award, consolidating Barça's new dominance in the international elite.
The voting to choose the best of the year will be open until November 28, and the winners will be announced at a gala to be held in January 2026. As in each edition, the votes will be equally divided among coaches, captains, specialized journalists, and fans.
Barça, the Big Protagonist of The Best 2025
The blaugrana team shines brightly once again. Three outfield players —Pedri, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal— are on the list for best player of the year, a recognition reserved for the biggest stars of the season. Joining them is Szczesny, who has been nominated for best goalkeeper alongside Courtois and Donnarumma, in one of the surprises of the year.
The Blaugrana coach Hansi Flick also appears among the candidates for best coach, making the Catalan club one of the most represented in all categories.

Szczesny, the big surprise among goalkeepers
Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has been included among the finalists for The Best FIFA Goalkeeper award, an honor that recognizes his consistency and leadership between the posts since his arrival at the Catalan club. His inclusion makes him the fourth Barcelona player on the list of nominees, reinforcing the team's excellent overall form.
