The influence of FC Barcelona has inspired different clubs worldwide, so it is not strange to find cases of teams that use their badge with certain changes as occurs with Barcelona de Guayaquil and, years ago, with Monagas Sport Club of Venezuela, which from 2001 to 2017 used a badge almost identical to that of the Blaugrana team.
Similarly, the badge of Sassuolo of Italy also has very similar features to that of Barça, noting a clear inspiration beyond the contrast of colors. The truth is that it is not foreign to the international arena that teams take features of the Blaugrana team due to its historical importance in the football field.
On this occasion we are not talking about an inspiration, but about a copy of FC Barcelona's shirt in the 2022/23 season, specifically its third kit, in which they simply covered the badge to attach their own and added their respective sponsors.
The shirt was light gray, with the cross of Sant Jordi on the front alternating a red and a blue stripe, with the colors of Barça and the Spotify sponsor in white.
YF Juventus: the Swiss team that 'recycles' an old Barça shirt
This team is YF Juventus, a Swiss fourth division club that, in a match against Baden AG, used the culé kit. The Swiss team was founded in 1992, the year in which Barça won its first European Cup against Sampdoria of Italy at Wembley. The club is a merger of C Young Fellows and SCI Juventus Zurigo.
Previously, the use of Barça's colors has also been replicated, as has happened with Levante, Eibar and Crystal Palace, but not to this level.
Everything seems to indicate that the idea of using this uniform was from the sports director Piero Bauert, since the team's second coach (who is also his son) declared to the media 'Blick': "my father simply likes the shirts. He is a big fan of Barça".
Apart from the third kit of 22/23, the Swiss team has also used the tracksuits of the Blaugrana club and a uniform that emulates the 'Senyera'. The relationship with Barça is not new, the second team of YF Juventus has even trained at the Ciutat Deportiva Joan Gamper in 2022 and faced Barça Atlètic in a training session.
Barça's passion transcends borders
The fans of YF Juventus are also great followers of the Catalan team and they have stated that they have already used the alternative kit of Barcelona on several occasions.
The Swiss team found the use of the uniform perfect since with it they achieved the victory over Baden by a score of 1-2. Now the Swiss are leaders of group 3 of the 1. Liga Classic, they have three victories and are shaping up for a great season and fight for promotion.
Will they continue to use other Barcelona shirts on their way through the fourth category of Swiss football? With that kit, Barça had a good season under the leadership of Xavi Hernández. The club won LaLiga and the Spanish Super Cup, breaking a four-year streak without winning the Spanish First Division.
