Iñaki Peña's future seems to be far from Barcelona. Valencia is no longer an option, and now he must evaluate other options to make a football leap

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Just days away from the official opening of the summer transfer window, Iñaki Peña has yet to resolve his future. The FC Barcelona goalkeeper is aware that he has no place in the squad for the 2025/26 season.

For their part, Barça's sporting management has already explained to the 26-year-old goalkeeper that the best thing for both parties*is for him to find another team.

And quite logically, since now, with the arrival of Joan García, the Culés currently have four top-level goalkeepers, including Marc-André Ter Stegen and Wojciech Szczęsny.

Iñaki Peña knows that his current situation is not beneficial for him, which is why he is reportedly not opposing Barça's desire for him to leave the club. The goalkeeper has a contract as an Azulgrana until 2026.

Furthermore, **García is expected to be the starter in goal**, while Ter Stegen is reportedly unwilling to change clubs, as he has a contract until 2028, and Szczęsny is said to be close to renewing for one season with an option for another.

Valencia is no longer an option for Iñaki Peña

In this regard, rumors in recent months have linked him with various teams, but so far, none seem to be making a move for the Alicante-born 'number 13'.

The Valencia was listed as one of the teams that had reportedly sounded out the goalkeeper's situation in recent months to learn about his future intentions, but now this destination is no longer possible for Peña.

In this context, according to 'Mundo Deportivo', Valencia has reportedly reached an agreement with the Basque goalkeeper **Kepa Arrizabalaga**, who played the 2024/25 season with Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Iñaki will have to evaluate the other potential options he may have. The goalkeeper could either stay in LaLiga EA Sports or move to another country.

Iñaki Peña prioritizes leaving Barça this summer

**The goalkeeper would prefer not to cling to the remaining year of his contract at Can Barça**. Furthermore, he wants to **take a leap forward in his football career**. Therefore, he believes that moving to another team this summer would be best for him.

With the possibility of moving to Valencia now off the table, other clubs are targeting the goalkeeper as a potential signing. These are **Sevilla, Celta de Vigo, and the Turkish giant Galatasaray**.

Iñaki Peña is already familiar with being part of Galatasaray, as he was loaned to the Turkish Super League team in January 2022 until the end of the season.

In Barcelona, they would prefer his departure to be a permanent transfer, although they are not ruling out the possibility of a loan. The *Blaugrana* want the goalkeeper to leave, regardless of the method.
