FC Barcelona will once again host Real Madrid at the Spotify Camp Nou on matchday 35 of LaLiga 2025/26. Pending whether both teams have to cross paths in the Copa del Rey or UEFA Champions League, this will be the first official Clásico in Les Corts since March 2023.

In that season, the team then managed by Xavi Hernández won by the narrowest of margins (2-1) with goals from Sergi Roberto and Franck Kessié. The victory set the 'culés' on the path to the title they managed to regain last season, when Hansi Flick's side managed to beat the 'merengues' in four consecutive matches.

Well, in 25/26, Barça will have to wait until the second weekend in May, Saturday the 9th or Sunday the 10th, to host a packed Camp Nou, with a capacity of 65,000 spectators, to a Madrid side that has been revamped this season with the arrival of Xabi Alonso to the bench.

When will the Clásicos of LaLiga 2025/26 be played?

According to the official calendar approved by the league, the first Clásico of the season, as in 24/25, will be played at the Santiago Bernabéu at the end of October. The match corresponding to matchday 10 will be played on Saturday 25 or Sunday 26 October, exactly one year after the first Azulgrana thrashing of the Whites the previous year.

In their last visit to Chamartín, Barça crushed Real with goals from Robert Lewandowski (double), Lamine Yamal and Raphinha. Flick's side would win again by a landslide in the Spanish Super Cup final (2-5) in Arabia.

Afterwards, the Catalans kept the last two Clásicos of the season, in the Copa del Rey final (3-2 at La Cartuja) and matchday 35 of LaLiga (4-3 at Montjuïc). The four matches against the 'merengues' were decisive for Barcelona to lift the domestic treble.

This is how the Clásicos of LaLiga will be played in 25/26:

  1. Matchday 10 (Santiago Bernabéu): Real Madrid vs FC Barcelona. Saturday 25 or Sunday 26 October 2026.
  2. Matchday 35 (Spotify Camp Nou): FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid. Saturday 09 or Sunday 10 May 2026.

Barça, with the mission of prolonging their streak against Real Madrid in 25/26

As things stand, FC Barcelona already knows the dates on which they will play their next two Liga Clásicos against Real Madrid, looking to extend the run of four consecutive victories obtained last season.

The record for consecutive Clásicos in favour of Barça is held by Pep Guardiola, who managed to win his first five matches against the 'Casa Blanca' between 2008 and 2010. The balance at that time was 16 goals in favour and only 2 against.

At the moment, Hansi Flick's side also have 16 goals against the 'merengues', with 7 goals conceded. The 'Pep team's' streak was cut short in 2011 with a draw at the Bernabéu, in La Liga (1-1).

At Camp Nou, Barça have not lost to Real since 21/22 (1-2 in October 2021) and, as locals, since 23/24 (1-2 in Montjuïc in October 2023). Between April 2023 and April 2024, the Whites also added four wins in a row against the 'culés', a couple in La Liga, one in the Copa and another in the Super Cup final.
