FC Barcelona closed LaLiga EA Sports 2024/25 with a comfortable victory against Athletic Club (0-3) which meant the sixteenth thrashing of the team led by Hansi Flick in a tournament where they were clear dominators from start to finish.

Barça obtained 57.14% of their 28 victories in La Liga by way of thrashing. Not in vain, the 'culés' surpassed the barrier of 100 goals (102) for the first time in eight years, defeating 18 of their 19 rivals in the tournament and with the title decided a couple of matchdays before the end of the season.

Only Betis (2-2 and 1-1) avoided falling in La Liga against Flick's team, although in the Copa del Rey (5-1 in the round of 16) the 'verdiblancos' had fallen in a resounding way.

The thrashings, seal of the La Liga 24/25 title for Barça

Barça closed the first round with a total of 7 thrashings against Valladolid (7-0), Girona (1-4), Villarreal (1-5), Alavés (0-3), Sevilla (5-1), Real Madrid (0-4) and Mallorca (1-5).

In the second round, where the team only lost one match in 19 presentations (16 wins and 2 draws), Barça achieved another 9 victories by a wide margin against Valencia (7-1), Sevilla (1-4), Real Sociedad (4-0), Atlético de Madrid (2-4), Osasuna (3-0), Girona (4-1) and Athletic Club (0-3).

Against Celta and Real Madrid (both triumphs by 4-3), although the difference was only one goal, they can be considered as thrashings due to the number of goals scored. The 'merengues', in fact, took 8 goals in both Clásicos.

The team that conceded the most goals of the season by Barça, after Madrid (16 in 4 matches) was Valencia (9), considering that the 'ché' team also received 5 in the Copa del Rey (14). In La Liga, Valladolid and Sevilla also received 9 goals in their 2 matches against Flick's team.
