FC Barcelona now knows the schedule for the next edition of LaLiga. The league's governing body presented the official 2025/26 calendar this Tuesday, a season that begins on the weekend of August 15-17 and officially ends on Sunday, May 24.

Finally, the team coached by Hansi Flick will play the first three matchdays away from home while work on the Spotify Camp Nou is completed, starting on August 17 at Son Moix against Mallorca. Just like the previous season, the Balearic side will host the reigning champions in their debut.

At the start of the 24/25 season, the 'rojinegros' (the red and blacks) secured a 1-1 draw against Real Madrid. Barça, on the other hand, thrashed Mallorca 5-1 on their last visit, in a match corresponding to matchday 19. The game was played early, at the end of November, due to the Spanish Super Cup being held in mid-January.

Barça will return to Camp Nou for a league match against Valencia

In 25/26, the second matchday marks the Blaugrana's visit to the newly promoted Levante. On matchday 3, they will visit Rayo, in a match just before the September FIFA international break. After the break, Barça will return to Camp Nou on September 13 or 14, hosting Valencia.

The last visit of the 'Ché' side to Catalonia resulted in a resounding 7-1 victory last January, at Montjuïc. The first derby against Girona will be at Les Corts on the weekend of October 19, while the first Clásico of the season will once again take place at the end of October.

⚽Here's how the first matchday of LaLiga 25/26 will be played (August 15-17):

  1. Alavés vs Levante, in Vitoria
  2. Athletic vs Sevilla, in Bilbao
  3. Celta vs Getafe, in Vigo
  4. Girona vs Rayo, in Barcelona
  5. Espanyol vs Atlético, in Barcelona
  6. Mallorca vs Barça, in Palma
  7. Elche vs Betis, in Elche
  8. Real Madrid vs Osasuna, in Madrid
  9. Valencia vs Real Sociedad, in Valencia
  10. Villarreal vs Oviedo, in Villareal

The first Clásico, on October 26 at the Santiago Bernabéu

Right after hosting Girona, Flick's side will visit the Santiago Bernabéu. The match will be exactly one year after the last visit to Real Madrid, on October 26, which ended in a 4-0 thrashing by the Blaugrana. The Culés crushed Los Blancos in 24/25, with four wins in as many Clásicos and a tally of 16 goals for and 7 against.

The first "grudge match" against Athletic, with Nico Williams now wearing the Blaugrana shirt, will take place at Camp Nou on the weekend of November 13, on matchday 13. In the first match of 2026, on January 4, it will be time for the first derby against Espanyol.

This match will also be 'high-voltage', with Joan García returning to Cornellà. The first half of the LaLiga season concludes on January 19, with Barça hosting Atlético de Madrid. That match will almost certainly have to be rescheduled, as both teams must travel to Saudi Arabia for the Super Cup.
