OFFICIAL: Date and time confirmed for Barça's debut in LaLiga

LaLiga confirmed the dates and times for matchday 1. Barça will debut against Mallorca and will play their first three games away from home, while work is completed at the Spotify Camp Nou
FC Barcelona and the remaining 19 clubs of LaLiga EA Sports already know the dates and times of their first match of the 2025/26 season. The tournament will officially start on Friday, August 15 with Girona hosting Rayo at Montilivi, at 19:00 CEST.
The first matchday will be played over four days, from Friday the 15th to Tuesday the 19th of August, ending with the match between Real Madrid and Osasuna. The Whites will host the Navarros at the Santiago Bernabéu after their participation in the Club World Cup, which could extend until July 14 if Xabi Alonso's team reaches the final.

Barça, meanwhile, begins the defense of the title as a visitor in Son Moix, against Mallorca. LaLiga accepted the Azulgrana's request to play the first three matchdays away from home, giving an extra month to fine-tune the Spotify Camp Nou.
At the beginning of September there will be a FIFA date, so the team will return to Les Corts on Saturday 13 or Sunday 14 September receiving Valencia. The match against the 'ché' team will come just before the debut in the Champions League, which could also take place at home.
Barça debuts in LaLiga on Saturday, August 16 in Mallorca

As for the premiere in LaLiga, the match at Mallorca's ground will be played on Saturday, August 16 from 19:30 local time. LaLiga warns that any of the matches scheduled between 17:00 and 19:30 may be postponed if weather conditions are adverse.
And, considering the high temperatures recorded in recent days, the prevention protocol for extreme heat remains activated. The Mallorca-Barça match will be on 'Movistar+LaLiga', at the end of the Alavés-Levante match (17:00).

The Saturday 16th matchday closes with Valencia-Real Sociedad, while on Friday Villarreal-Oviedo will also be played at 21:30. For Sunday 17th there are three matches scheduled: Celta-Getafe (17:00), Athletic-Sevilla (19:30) and Espanyol-Atlético de Madrid (21:30). On Monday 18th, at 21:00, Elche-Betis will be played.
