Marcus Rashford will be looking to prolong his excellent form with FC Barcelona in Hansi Flick's side's visit to Sevilla (Sunday 5th at 16:15 CEST). The English winger has established himself in the Barça line-up, taking advantage of the physical problems of Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, both confirmed absentees for the visit to the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.

Without the '10' or the '11' available, 'Rashy', along with Ferran Torres, has carried the weight of the offensive production of a Barça that, in the last six matches, averages 2.83 goals per game (17 in total).

Of those, the England international has participated in 7 (41.1%), thanks to his 2 goals against Newcastle (1-2), in addition to 5 assists in the defeat against Paris Saint-Germain (1-2) and the four victories in the League against Valencia (6-0), Getafe (3-0), Oviedo (1-3) and Real Sociedad (2-1). The 'Shark', meanwhile, has 3 goals and 1 assist.

Marcus Rashford is already the assist leader for Barça

This streak has allowed the Manchester player to take the outright lead as the team's top assist provider (5), a couple more than Lamine Yamal has accumulated in his five appearances in the 25/26 season. Marcus has started in five of the last six matches and participated in at least one of the Barça goals in all of them.

After three discreet performances at the start of LaLiga, the '14' has found the necessary confidence and consistency to exploit his offensive capacity in Barcelona. Against Real Sociedad and Oviedo, he launched two corners that ended in goals. Against PSG, he enabled Ferran in the goal for the partial 1-0.

His good streak began with his brace in Newcastle, while in the thrashings of Valencia and Getafe he also contributed an assist per game, although LaLiga does not count the pass to Dani Olmo against the 'azulones' (in the play of the third Barça goal) as a goal pass. For the employers' association, Luis Milla (Getafe) is the leading assistant in the tournament with 5, followed by Vinicius Jr. (4).

Rashford, for now, appears in third place with 3 assists, the same as Lamine Yamal and six other players. In any case, Hansi Flick is very satisfied with his performance. Now, the winger must fine-tune his aim to start scoring goals in Spanish football.

Sevilla-Barça will be Rashford's seventh game as a starter

For Marcus Rashford, the Sevilla-Barça match will be his tenth of the season (he played minutes in all the matches of the 25/26 season) and the seventh as a starter (fifth in eight matchdays of LaLiga). The Englishman was a substitute against Mallorca, Rayo and Getafe, the latter match for arriving late to the previous session.

So far, 'Rashy' has 2 goals and 5 assists in 9 games (529 minutes) with Barça. In the preseason, he also contributed 1 goal and 2 assists in the 4 friendlies played by the team (167 minutes).

At this point in the 24/25 season, the 27-year-old winger had tallied 4 goals and 2 assists with Manchester United. Following the departure of Erik ten Hag, the forward's role diminished, ultimately leading to his loan move to Aston Villa in January.

Barça signed him this summer, also on loan, with a purchase option of 40 million euros. For now, Marcus is doing enough to make the Barça team consider the possibility of buying him in 2026. However, the club will only make a decision in the final stretch of 25/26. As long as Flick is satisfied with his contribution, the '14' will have more options to stay.
