FC Barcelona secured their ninth victory in LaLiga EA Sports 2025/26 thanks to a stellar performance from Robert Lewandowski. Returning to the starting XI, against Celta (2-4), the Polish striker regained the lethal touch that characterizes him in the box, scoring his first hat-trick of the season and the fourth with the Blaugrana shirt, with which he now has 108 goals in 159 appearances.

'Lewy' opened the scoring in the 10th minute, from a penalty, and then took advantage of two assists from Marcus Rashford to round off a perfect night at Balaídos against a Celta to whom he has already scored 8 goals in 7 league matches. In the 37th minute, the '9' finished first-time, anticipating the rival center-backs. In the 73rd minute, he closed the scoring with a header after flicking on a corner from the left.

The 37-year-old forward had not scored since September 28, against Real Sociedad (2-1) and was a starter for the first time since matchday 8, against Sevilla. That day he missed a penalty, but on Sunday he regained his confidence with a spot-kick that goalkeeper Radu also came close to saving.

Lewandowski Concerned About Barça's Defensive Fragility

After the match, where Robert completed 90 minutes for the fourth time this season, the 'killer' assessed the victory and his offensive contribution, but also engaged in self-criticism regarding the goals conceded. For the first time since 2013, Barça has gone ten consecutive games conceding.

"In the second half, we had the game more under control. In the first half, Celta scored very easily. At halftime, we talked about what we needed to improve and how to play better. I think the fourth goal was very important for playing with more patience and calmness," argued the Culer '9'.

Similarly, he made clear the aspects to improve during the November break. "We have to have everything more under control. We need to analyze how to improve in defense. Now we have two weeks to disconnect. It's a time to change things that aren't working well," Lewandowski pointed out.

The Pole reached 7 goals in 25/26, all in LaLiga. In the Champions League, he only started against Newcastle. Even so, the '9' is the team's joint top scorer along with Ferran Torres. Further back are Fermín López and Ferran Torres, with 6 goals.
