FC Barcelona is one step away from the title of LaLiga EA Sports 2024-25 after 34 matchdays played. The 'azulgrana' team added three points against Valladolid (1-2) thanks to goals from Raphinha and Fermín López in the second half.

Hansi Flick's team took to the field with an XI again with a majority of substitutes and, this time, had more complications than usual to deploy their usual attacking game.

A goal from Iván Sánchez put Valladolid ahead in the 6th minute and Flick had no choice but to use Lamine Yamal and Raphinha to turn the result around. The Brazilian and Fermín, in the 54th and 60th minutes, sealed the 'culé' comeback, the fifth of the tournament.

With this, Barça has 79 points, 7 more than a Real Madrid forced to defeat Celta this Sunday to continue in the fight for the title. The 'blancos' come from falling against the Catalans in the Copa del Rey final.

And, if Madrid stumbles against Celta, they will reach matchday 35 with 6 or 7 points behind Barcelona, with only 4 matchdays to play. An 'azulgrana' victory would leave the 'merengues' KO, having lost the direct confrontation and without options to improve the 'culé' goal difference.

Thus, Barça (79) occupies the first place in the table with a lead of seven points over Real Madrid, located in the second position with 72 points.

Atlético de Madrid, meanwhile, remains third with 67 points, 12 units below the Catalans and five behind Madrid. The 'colchoneros' drew again on Saturday against Alavés (0-0) and no longer have any chance of fighting for the championship.
