The editor boss of sports of the "Telegraph", Paul Hayward, received the past Tuesday a moving gift of part of Leo Messi, the one who previously had read a column that the same Hayward devoted him does some months, just after the "10" gave a recital in semifinals of the UEFA Champions League 2014-15 against the Bayern Munich in the Camp Nou, leaving seated to Jerome Boateng in one of the goals.

Hayward Titled that article of the following way: "How the genialidad of Dan Carter and of Leo Messi gave me hope to combat the cancer", showing marvelled by the "crack" of the rugby of New Zealand and, especially, by the golazo that lumbered with Messi to Manuel Neuer, "elevating the balloon above one of the biggest men and intimidadores of the world of the football".

"I noticed how I elevated me of my chair, and the illness gave off of me", related Hayward in November of 2015. "This moment will remain in my memory, because it did that the world felt again fill of possibilities. Think that the philosophers have looked for human truths edificantes in the most complex areas and here a 'hammered' of the boot of Lionel Messi lit to the whole world...", it aimed.

In this sense, Hayward did not expect that his column went to be read by the family of Leo Messi, that informed to the player. "Any wise journalist thinks that a mega-star will read a his column although it speak of life and death. So when they arrived me voices that the family Messi had knowledge of my article, but thought that with this would finish the thing".

"The text spoke of cancer and of how the sport can keep us connected to the life even when the treatment pushes us to the darkness. It was gratificante receive this message about the family Messi, but there was not reason any to think that there would be something more", explains, revealing the gift that arrived him few months afterwards.

"Some months later delivered me something very special in a place of meeting improvised. It was a T-shirt of the Barcelona with a personalised message of Messi together with a letter of spirits. The ethical professional dictates that the reporters do not have to leave dazzle by the celebrities, but confess that I seat me overwhelmed, and no only because Messi was the footballer whose quality more admire".
