Three days later, it's the turn of the Champions League, also at home against RB Leipzig. The following weekend, the whites must visit Valladolid to, on January 29, close the Champions League group stage with an uncomfortable visit to Brest.

In total, there could be nine matches in just 28 days that promise to be decisive for a team that aspires to win everything in 2025, beyond the poor performance shown so far this season.

Madrid has accumulated 5 losses in 21 appearances (16 in La Liga, 5 in Champions), 2 of them at home consecutively and with very tough results (against FC Barcelona and AC Milan) that have put Carlo Ancelotti on the hot seat. Before starting January, the 'merengues' have four pending matches that could leave the Italian coach without nougat this Christmas.
