Victor Osimhen is set to be one of the 'bargains' of the summer market 2025. The Nigerian striker completed a good season on loan at Galatasaray, with 37 goals and 8 assists in 41 matches, but must return to Napoli in July, as his release clause (close to 130 million euros) is too high for the Turkish team.

In that sense, there are several clubs attentive to the future of the '9', since the Neapolitan coach, Antonio Conte, does not count on him for the next season. Osimhen has a contract until 2027 and, as his market value already reaches 70 'kilos', the Partenopei team will hardly agree to sell him for less than 100 M€.

The Nigeria coach believes Osimhen can sign for Barça

In Nigeria, however, they are confident that their main star will soon resolve his future. In this regard, the coach of the African 'eagles', Eric Chelle, did not hesitate to put Osimhen in the orbit of FC Barcelona and other giants of Europe for the next season.

"Victor, for me, is the best centre forward in the world. The reality is that with the market window open, a player like him cannot be 100% focused. I have to protect him physically and mentally because he will be transferred," began the Nigerian coach.

Then, the coach 'got wet' about what could be the next team of the 26-year-old striker, pointing to Barça as a possible destination for the '9'. "Maybe to a club like Manchester United. Or maybe to Barcelona, Chelsea or Real Madrid," said Chelle.

In his time in Southern Italy, the Lagos native scored 76 goals in 133 games. The blaugrana team sounded like a possible destination for the '9' last year, after he broke off relations with the Napoli board, but his high salary (10 'kilos' net per year) ruled out a culé offer for his loan.

Victor is a striker who takes advantage of physical power to prevail in the area. Although he is somewhat slow in one-on-one situations, the Nigerian has a lethal shot and is very dangerous in the aerial game thanks to his height (1.86) and corpulence.

For Flick's scheme, having a player with his characteristics would be of great help, but the African striker has a difficult character to manage. In addition, he is used to being an undisputed starter and is not prepared to be a regular substitute.

Barça rules out the signing of Osimhen and any other '9' this summer

Beyond market rumors, Barça does not plan to incorporate another centre forward this year. The confidence in Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres is total to be references of the blaugrana area, both with contracts until 2026 and 2027, respectively.

Between the two they scored 61 goals in 24/25 (42 from 'Lewi') and, for the moment, the only reinforcement in attack planned by the culé board is a left winger so as not to depend exclusively on Raphinha, as the departure of Ansu Fati is a matter of time.
