FC Barcelona is keeping a close eye on the growth of Kenan Yildiz in Italian football. The Turkish attacking midfielder has already scored 16 goals and provided 13 assists in 86 official matches with Juventus, and his market value on the Transfermarkt website is 50 million euros.

In that sense, the latest information points to the interest of Barça and other big clubs in Europe in the 20-year-old player. Yildiz arrived at Juve in 2022 from Bayern Munich's youth academy and is already an undisputed starter in the 'Vecchia signora'. Therefore, the club intends to secure his future with a high release clause.

Juventus is asking for 80 million for Kenan Yildiz

The player from Regensburg (Germany) has a contract until June 2029 and, according to Italian media, Juventus will not let him go for less than 80 million euros. In just a couple of years, the value of the Turkish international went from €1M (summer 2023) to €50M, making him the player with the best projection in the 'bianconeri' squad.

For Barça, signing Yildiz would only make sense if the club, first, managed to negotiate a lower transfer fee (around 40 'kilos') and if his arrival coincided with the departure of one of their players.

Due to his physical and technical characteristics, the Juventus player could perform a similar role to that of Fermín López. Kenan can play without problems as an attacking midfielder or winger on either side, although he feels more comfortable on the left.

In the 25/26 season, he provided a couple of assists on matchday 1 of Serie A. With Turkey, he completed a good match against Georgia (2-3), but was missing, like all the Ottoman forwards, in the tough defeat against Spain (0-6) last Sunday in Konya.

Fermín López: key to Barça's possible interest in Kenan Yildiz?

If Fermín finally decides to leave in 2026, Barça could activate the Kenan Yildiz file, as long as Juve agrees to lower its economic aspirations. The Blaugrana team would also expect to receive no less than 80 'kilos' if the player from Huelva asks to leave, which would make sense to reinvest a percentage of that transfer in a player like the Juventus '10'.

Hansi Flick would give the 'Ok' to the operation, since the Turk is a fast, intelligent, young player with the ideal talent to adapt to the ultra-offensive scheme that the German implemented since his arrival in Catalonia in 2024. Will Juventus let their star go next summer? A lot will depend on the club's performance this season, with Igor Tudor on the bench.

The 'Vecchia signora' has not won Serie A since 2020 and, in the 25/26 season, they are again starting as the third candidate for the title behind Napoli and Inter Milan. AC Milan and Roma are emerging as competitors in the upper area of the standings, fighting to return to the Champions League. If Juventus completes another disappointing season, it will be much more difficult for the board to retain Yildiz.
