Bayern Munich are going all in for Luis Díaz. The Colombian has become a top priority for the Bavarians, a team that was already looking to sign a top-tier left winger this summer. But now, with the long-term injury to Jamal Musiala (fibula fracture due to ankle dislocation), the need to strengthen the attacking front with a star name has multiplied.
Bayern Munich preparing firm offer for the Colombian
At this point, apparently, the team led by Vincent Kompany already has a major proposal ready to sign 'Lucho'. According to journalist Christian Falk from BILD, Bayern is ready to offer Liverpool €60M fixed plus bonuses.
That would be the maximum price the Bavarians would be willing to pay in their attempt to sign Luis Díaz, with whom —according to reports from Germany— they already have a personal agreement.
In another line of reporting, Falk stated that Bayern Munich wants to proceed with full respect toward Liverpool, especially after the tragic passing of Diogo Jota. A situation that has left the 'Scouser' institution emotionally shaken.
Luis Díaz’s future remains uncertain
Now we’ll have to see how this Luis Díaz saga ends. His future doesn’t look too clear. While reports suggest the Barrancas native wants a change of scenery this summer —with FC Barcelona as the favorite—, other sources claim the Colombian could take advantage of the buzz surrounding him to secure a more lucrative deal than the one he currently has at Anfield.
Likewise, Díaz hasn’t been too clear on the matter either. It’s worth noting that, in his most recent public statements, the former Porto player has admitted to being in talks with other clubs, though he always clarifies that he feels comfortable at Liverpool and does not rule out renewing with the Merseyside club.
He made this clear in his most recent appearance on the sports channel Win Sports, where, when asked about his future, he said:
"We’re currently in negotiations, talking to the club, with everyone who approaches... We’ll see what happens and try to make the best decision."
He then wrapped up his statement by adding: "I’m very calm and happy where I am; now it’s about making the best decision," once again leaving his future open to any scenario.
