In Brazil, Rodrygo Goes' departure from Real Madrid is taken for granted. The '11' started the Club World Cup as a starter, but remained on the bench during the knockout stages onwards. Although the 'Casa Blanca' hopes to receive close to 100 million euros for the 24-year-old winger, the Carioca press assures that FC Barcelona could enter the bidding for him.

In this regard, the portal 'UOL Esporte' explains that, although "there are no ongoing conversations yet, Barça has made it clear that they are willing to start negotiations if Rodrygo decides to leave this summer." The player from Osasco has a contract until 2028 and his termination clause is 1,000 million euros.

However, the wear and tear in the relationship between the forward and the 'merengue' board in recent months may help lower his price as the summer market progresses. Even more so if Xabi Alonso rules out having him in mind for the start of 25/26.

Rodrygo did not play with Madrid in the last month of 24/25 due to alleged physical discomfort, although the club never issued an official medical report. Afterwards, in the World Cup, he only had an impact in the debut against Al Hilal (he gave an assist).

Rodrygo Goes: a viable signing for Barça this summer?

For Barça, signing a left winger is a top market priority. Luis Díaz seemed to be the best alternative, but Liverpool does not accept less than 80 million for his transfer and the board has opted for Marcus Rashford as the first option.

The Englishman will arrive in the next few hours to close his loan for one year, but this does not mean the closure of the summer transfer window for Barcelona. On the contrary, the Azulgrana team knows that, in case of completing an important sale in the coming weeks, they will be able to free up enough margin to amortize another 'top' transfer.

After the non-signing of Nico Williams and the disappointment that meant postponing again the return to the Spotify Camp Nou, the board that releases Joan Laporta feels indebted to the fans. Therefore, a star signing, beyond the impact that the arrival of Rahsford may generate, is not ruled out.

Could Rodrygo Goes be the chosen one for Barça? The Brazilian was already very close to signing with the 'culés' in 2018, but Florentino Pérez stepped in, paying 45 million to Santos for his transfer.

This year, his sale will hardly be closed for less than 85-90 'kilos', an amount that Barcelona could only reach if they get rid of a couple of their references. Players like Ronald Araujo and Fermín López could easily leave more than €100M in the coffers if they leave.

However, the board does not foresee forcing the sale of any of its references, unless a player arrives with a formal offer to the club's offices. A scenario that, for now, does not look feasible in the case of the 'charrúa' and the player from Huelva.

Liverpool accelerates for the signing of Rodrygo

Beyond the rumors, Rodrygo's future points strongly to the Premier League. The 28-year-old winger was rumored as a possible reinforcement for Arsenal and Manchester City, but the one who seems willing to go all out for his signing is Liverpool.

The 'reds' seem to give Luis Díaz up for lost, beyond Barça's refusal to negotiate a high transfer for the Colombian. Bayern Munich is willing to put more than €70M for the 'Guajiro' and in Merseyside they would use this money to amortize the signing of the '11' from Real Madrid.

Arne Slot's team already signed Florian Wirtz this year and hope to complete a lethal trident with Mohamed Salah and Rodrygo. The player from Osasco, although he has played more on the right in his time at the 'Casa Blanca', performs better as a left winger.

At Madrid he has accumulated 68 goals and 51 assists in 270 games, having won a couple of Champions Leagues and three La Liga titles in his six seasons with the 'merengues'. Will the Premier League be his destination? Will Barça be able to enter the bidding for the former Santos player?
