FC Barcelona continues to have players they are not counting on and who have not yet resolved their future. In that sense, one of them is Iñaki Peña, who would become the fourth goalkeeper of the Blaugrana team, so he must change teams.

According to the latest market rumors, among the clubs that have sounded out the player are Betis, Espanyol, and Celta; the latter is the one that has shown the most interest so far.

However, in theory, the Romanian Andrei Radu arrived to be the starting goalkeeper of the 'celeste' team, but his mistakes with the ball in preseason have caused the club to reactivate its interest in the Blaugrana '13', from whom they positively value his footwork.

Iñaki's letter of freedom, an option to leave Barça

However, Celta's position is clear. They would only consider the incorporation of Iñaki as a free agent and as long as the goalkeeper accepts a significant reduction in his salary. Thus, the Galician entity does not contemplate making any economic outlay for his signing.

Although Iñaki Peña still has one year left on his contract with the Catalan team, the club does not rule out granting him the letter of freedom in order to facilitate his departure.

Although the initial intention was to obtain some income for the Alicante goalkeeper, the absence of concrete offers has generated uncertainty around his future. What is a fact is that both the player and the Blaugrana entity are aware of the need to resolve his situation as soon as possible.

It should be remembered that the '13' has a market value of 8 million euros, but Barcelona hoped to receive about 10 'kilos' for his transfer, although the club sees this possibility as increasingly distant.

Iñaki Peña must resolve his future soon

The 26-year-old goalkeeper must find a new team as soon as possible. LaLiga starts on August 15 and his chances of seeing minutes under the culé goal are practically nil, since, despite the absence of Marc-André ter Stegen due to injury, both Joan García and Wojciech Szczęsny are ahead of him in Hansi Flick's plans.

Also, a few weeks ago it was pointed out that Peña wanted to resolve his future to be able to do the preseason with what would be his new team and thus have many more options to opt for the starting position.

However, this is far from happening, since the summer preparation matches are about to end and he is still in a Barça with which he has not played a minute in preseason despite traveling to the Asian tour. Outside of Spain, Galatasaray sounded like an option for the goalkeeper, but without a formal offer reaching the culé offices.
