The future of Pablo Torre strongly points to Son Moix for the next season. Mallorca has advanced in negotiations with FC Barcelona during the last week of June, reaching a pre-agreement to turn the 22-year-old player into their new attacking midfielder.
Jagoba Arrasate's team needs to sign a footballer with the characteristics of the Cantabrian to cover the loss of Robert Navarro, who left for Athletic Club with a free transfer after a good season with the Balearic team.
Understanding that Pablo is a fixed discard for Hansi Flick and will enter his last year of contract, Mallorca can close his transfer for an affordable price. However, Osasuna also wants the '14' culé and can torpedo the negotiation.
How much does Mallorca intend to pay Barça for Pablo Torre?
In principle, the latest information indicates a Mallorca offer of 5 million euros for 50% of Torre's sports rights. According to 'SPORT', Barça also intends to reserve a repurchase option for 10 'kilos' in 2026 and 12 M€ in 2027.
The player from Soto de la Marina arrived in Barcelona in 2022 from Racing de Santander in exchange for 6 million net. After a first season in which he played 16 games (583 minutes), he was loaned to Girona, where he did not have much continuity either.
In 24/25 he returned to the azulgrana team, convincing Flick to reserve a place for him in the squad. However, the tough competition in his position (Dani Olmo, Fermín López, Gavi...) marginalized him to a residual role.
Not in vain, Pablo only played 14 games (6 as a starter) in which he only accumulated 421 minutes of action. Even so, he added 4 goals and 3 assists, records that have helped to increase the number of teams interested in his signing.
Osasuna's plan to 'fish' Pablo Torre
In that sense, Osasuna is also very attentive to his future, although the 'rojillos' have fallen behind in negotiations with respect to Mallorca. The Navarrese team does not plan to offer more money for Torre, but is attentive to any setback in the operation to fully enter the bidding for the midfielder.
In his two seasons at Can Barça, the Cantabrian has 5 goals and 4 assists in 27 official matches (759 minutes). His market value is around 6 'kilos' and the culés will recover their initial investment with a transfer of 5 M€ for 50% of his rights.
The azulgrana team is confident that, with the necessary continuity and confidence, Pablo Torre will be able to exploit his quality and considerably increase his value. Hence, reserving a repurchase option at a lower price is a sensible bet.
