The summer market of LaLiga can give many surprises this year. One of the teams that has the most movements on its agenda is Atlético de Madrid, even more so when one of its figures could leave soon to Inter Miami.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Rodrigo De Paul would be contemplating the possibility of playing with 'las garzas' this summer. The operation, if it does not materialize this year, could be closed in the summer of 2026, with the Argentine midfielder as a free agent.

The Sarandí native arrived at Atlético in 2021 from Udinese and is one of the untouchables in Diego Simeone's scheme. So far, he has 14 goals and 26 assists in 187 official matches with the 'colchoneros'.

Therefore, it is surprising that, at 31 years old and just before a World Cup year, the Argentine is contemplating going to the American MLS. Even more so when Leo Messi himself has not yet defined his future at Inter Miami. The '10' ends his contract in December and already has a mega offer from Saudi football to sign for Al-Ahli.

Atlético de Madrid wants Marc Casadó: Will Barça let him go?

In any case, beyond the decision that Rodrigo De Paul makes, Atlético is still very attentive to the future of Marc Casadó. The Catalan midfielder could lose prominence in the azulgrana team after the return of Marc Bernal and the great level of Frenkie de Jong in the final stretch of the 24/25 season.

If the Dutchman, as expected, renews, the '17' will have much more competition to return to the XI next season. In that sense, the 'rojiblancos' could put around 30 million euros on the table for the Sant Pere de Vilamajor native, whose contract ends in 2028.

At the moment, Marc's clause remains at 100 'kilos', but Barça would not look unfavorably on a transfer in the order of 50 million. The club needs to raise funds to amortize the signing of a left winger, with Luis Díaz being the favorite to reinforce the azulgrana attack.

Casadó, however, is not contemplating leaving Barça for now. Depending on the role he plays in the Asian pre-season tour, many things can vary regarding his future and that of other possible discards for Hansi Flick.

Thomas Partey, Atlético's 'plan B' for their midfield

While waiting to define whether Marc Casadó is a feasible signing or not, the 'colchoneros' have another midfielder on their radar: Thomas Partey. The Ghanaian ended his contract with Arsenal last week and has not yet signed with any team.

For Simeone, Partey would be a great signing, as the African player played five seasons at Atlético before leaving for England. Thomas was also rumored as a possible reinforcement for Barça, but the culés have the pivot position well covered.

In the case of the 'rojiblancos', this would be their fourth incorporation of the summer. Álex Baena (42 M€), Matteo Ruggeri (17 M €) and Juan Musso (3 M€) will be available to the 'Cholo' in the pre-season. The club also closed the signing of Clément Lenglet, after the termination of the Frenchman's contract with the azulgrana team.
