Bayer Leverkusen is not giving up in its attempt to fish at FC Barcelona. In this sense, the German club would have already presented an offer for the midfielder Marc Casadó, whom they would have been wanting for some time.

According to recent rumors, the team led by Erik Ten Hag presented an offer to the Blaugrana team of around 20 million euros fixed plus another 10 in variables.

The 'Die Werkself' would seek to take advantage of the fact that the performance of the '17' suffered a drop in the second part of the 2024/25 campaign after a brilliant start to the season that positioned him as one of the great revelations of European football, accumulating praise from specialists and fans.

However, his situation could become even more complicated in the 2025/26 season, especially with the imminent recovery of Marc Bernal, who is in the final phase of his rehabilitation after a serious knee injury suffered less than a year ago.

Barça sets a distance: wants 50 million for Casadó

At Barça they know perfectly well that the 'werkself' team received large sums of money thanks to the transfers of Florian Wirtz (117.5 'kilos' fixed plus 20 in variables) and Jeremy Firmpong (between 30 and 40 million) and they are not willing to undersell players of the stature of Marc Casadó.

That is why the Blaugrana team would have responded with a resounding 'NO' to Leverkusen's offer and, in return, they indicated that the minimum price for the native of Sant Pere de Vilamajor is 50 M€.

Likewise, given Barça's refusal, from Germany they have already started negotiations with the player's environment, with the aim of convincing him by presenting an ambitious sports project that contemplates prominence in the Bundesliga and active participation in the Champions League.

In addition to Leverkusen, other teams interested in the midfielder are Atlético de Madrid, Napoli, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United. However, the only one, so far, to make moves for the '17' seems to be the German team.

Marc Casadó's role at Barcelona, still up in the air for the 2025/26 season

After losing his place to Frenkie de Jong at the end of last season, coupled with the return of Marc Bernal, Marc Casadó's role is up in the air for the next season, as coach Hansi Flick would like to evaluate all possible options to see which player suits his tactical system best.

The '17' would be interested in remaining a protagonist in Barcelona's midfield, but obviously it is something that he would not have guaranteed; this situation could be used by Leverkusen to end up convincing him to change teams.

For its part, Barça's position is clear and without cracks: Marc Casadó will only leave the club if the proposal that arrives responds to the economic demands established by the sports management at the Camp Nou.
